Not children-related, but more hobby/experienced based.

My NY Resolution for 2020 is 'to have more fun'.

Mine to date:

Scuba dive on the Great barrier Reef

Christmas in Vienna

A fantastic vegetarian cooking course

I did a day long course. Then drove 4 hours home and the next morning got up at 6 am and started cooking again. It was that inspiring!

Moving to London at 19 with not a penny and not knowing a soul there. Such fun I had
Rio de janerio for new year.
Abseiling off table mountain and cage diving with great white sharks in SA.

All my travels in general.
I'm self employed and have been from a very young age , so traveling as such didn't happen just lots of amazing holidays.
I've seen Grand Canyon, New York, Hong Kong, Miami, Rome, Argentina,
Australia, California and many more.
Love, love, love travel it's fantastic

Leaving my violent, abusive ex.

Moving to Hong Kong on my own.

Living in central London for a few years pre-kids. Being able to walk into town was the best - all the shows, films, galleries, etc which were all on my doorstep meant every weekend was special and fun. Hard to believe that today my highlight was going to the supermarket on my own for an hour without any kids.

PreschoolYes · 07/12/2019 19:21

Experienced living in Venice at university.

Getting married abroad and spending 3 weeks away with just dh.

@Chienloup

Are you me? Those are some of my top things, too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/12/2019 19:39

Lovely thread. I feel as if I've done so little in comparison to some of these but:

  • finishing paying the mortgage was just an amazing feeling
  • qualifying as a Advanced Skills Teacher many years ago, when it was a really big deal
  • and I hated this one at the time but was so proud of myself - walking/swimming through a rmuddy river that was neck high whilst carrying young child, when I'm terrified of swimming. I still look back on it and wonder how on earth I managed it.
birdsarecute45 · 07/12/2019 19:41

OP here with a shiny new namechange dictated by DS1. :)
