Help me be the better person and NOT play Slipknot through the wall this morning!! Partying neighbours

Hi,

I just need to release some rage, so bear with me.

Our joining (new) neighbours have had two consecutive parties and last night went on until 6 this morning 😠 Loud isn't the word. There was no way we could sleep, so by about 3.30-4am, we put up the rock hard sofa bed in the spare room. Reduced the noise slightly, but it was still impossible to sleep.

I'm so angry! Why are people so inconsiderate?! I would never do this. Not as an adult anyway, which they are. 40 something I'd say.

The sheer volume of everything to me was a big f* you. They clearly don't give a shit if anyone is disturbed.

I know they'll be sleeping it off today and I can't tell you how tempted I am to interfere with that and make lots of noise. Not a good idea, I know.

We had a child free weekend and had plans today and this evening, but on 20 minutes MAX sleep, I don't think either of us have the energy to do anything, so will probably end up cancelling.

Depends on your area, I know in mine it’s for the police to deal with during the night if it requires immediate action.

I’m not sure how playing tit for tat works when issues increase and OP decides to complain, only for her ignorant neighbours to say she does xyz in retaliation

It did bother me a lot. Like walking behind someone and the label on their t shirt is sticking up and you just want to lean forward and tuck it in.

I hope they have no more parties for a long time!
