Help me be the better person and NOT play Slipknot through the wall this morning!! Partying neighbours

Hi,

I just need to release some rage, so bear with me.

Our joining (new) neighbours have had two consecutive parties and last night went on until 6 this morning 😠 Loud isn't the word. There was no way we could sleep, so by about 3.30-4am, we put up the rock hard sofa bed in the spare room. Reduced the noise slightly, but it was still impossible to sleep.

I'm so angry! Why are people so inconsiderate?! I would never do this. Not as an adult anyway, which they are. 40 something I'd say.

The sheer volume of everything to me was a big f* you. They clearly don't give a shit if anyone is disturbed.

I know they'll be sleeping it off today and I can't tell you how tempted I am to interfere with that and make lots of noise. Not a good idea, I know.

We had a child free weekend and had plans today and this evening, but on 20 minutes MAX sleep, I don't think either of us have the energy to do anything, so will probably end up cancelling.

Rant over. As you were.

Download the noise app and record it.

After the noise stops wait an hour, then start with something really annoying, Barney the dinosaur was used in Iraq.

Can you still order alarm calls? If you know their number.

Lots of places on just eat deliver breakfast, you could order some to be delivered around 9.30 am COD of course (actually that might not be the best idea but think about it and let yourself feel better)

Can you sing? This is better if you can't but go carol singing at 9.00 am, with friends who can't sing.

Depending on the house lots of new builds have the electric meter outside, that means you could turn off the power. Better still go round later and ask them if the power went out, tel them yours did too and that it is the vibrations from loud music that sets it off. Then randomly keep shutting the power off.

Once you know they are asleep play knock and run.

@banivani that yodelling is fab, I've just been tapping my foot along to it and if it wasn't 5 o'cock in the morning I'd be doing a little jig to it too, so maybe not a suitable revenge song.

I'm trying to think of good revenge titles now - that song that goes "I hate you so much right now, aaarrggghh" (can't remember who it's by), "Fuck you" by Ceelo Green or the one by Lily Allen....

@champagneandfromage50, it might look passive, but it's actually tactile. If it carries on then yes, we will be going round. If we go in all guns blazing at this stage, things could get much worse and I can't bear that. Been there before. Hideous time.

I'm just praying that it's out of character and that it was a one (or two) off, with it being the Christmas season.

@BlackCatSleeping, yep, but last night didn't quite turn into the hell that was the night before that, plus we went straight to the spare room, so managed to get some sleep. We do have to take into account that these walls are very thin and people still have to live, but that said, if it happens again tonight, we'll have to go round and say something. Not looking forward to that. I've never spoken to either of them. They don't seem like the easiest people to approach tbh.

Theres a terrifying old creepy psyops track that the americans used from speakers into the jungle during vietnam. I like to use to spook out my dog when shes being a nob. Should do the job brilliantly, especially if theyre sleeping and it infects their dreams
