I have a blank mind. DH likes running, coffee, diy and cricket.
Ideas/suggestions please.
Thank you.

We're getting some new headphones for running. The bone conductor type (I think that's what they're called).

BarbaraofSeville · 03/12/2019 16:19

A coffee grinder, a diary in the style of a Haynes manual and some fancy nuts.

Pepperwand · 03/12/2019 16:24

DH also likes coffee, I'm getting him some Jamaican blue mountain coffee beans.... they're bloomin expensive but I think he'd like to try them and would never buy them himself. Also a Chillys water bottle and some rocky road bites I saw in John Lewis.

AJplusone · 03/12/2019 16:24

I'm not sure on budgets here but my husband loves running so bought himself an apple watch because it tracks some old crap I don't care about his distance and personal best and means he doesn't have to take his phone etc.. You could probably bag one on Ebay for cheaper than brand new...

For coffee you can get subscriptions online for different coffee's to try each month I think..

GirIAfraid · 03/12/2019 16:32

Another guitar. A Fender Jaguar. I've kind of bought for him with me in mind however as I totally plan to 'borrow' it!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 03/12/2019 16:33

Armani trainers and a wallet

beela · 03/12/2019 16:34

A new shaver. I can't think of a more boring present but it's all he's asked for. Just as well it's for him and not me!

Kenworthington · 03/12/2019 16:34

Some aftershave
An engraved zippo lighter
A hip flask in an oiled leather case
A small hamper of lovely food bits I’ve assembled

houselikeashed · 03/12/2019 16:36

Bone conductor headphones? Will google. Sounds good.
He already has a watch to track crap info and far too long runs.

A cabin bag with a toiletries liquid travel on bag
A dartboard and darts
A telescope and night sky book guide

TheGirlWhoLived · 03/12/2019 16:39

Sorry and lots of photo frames with our most recent photos printed out and put in because he is CONSTANTLY moaning we haven’t put up any of the theme park pictures!

BarbedBloom · 03/12/2019 16:39

Samsung smart watch, new belt, t shirt and a few other bits. Poker set.

Blippolbblopp · 03/12/2019 16:43

Im going to get him some heated gloves and socks. He works outdoors and keeps complaining that his toes are cold through his steel toe capped and several layers of socks and also a dressing gown

Once ive bought them itll be some sort of aftershave, a game for his xbox and some new clothes

I might nick Kenworthington idea and get him an engraved zippo too

MyEnormousTurnip · 03/12/2019 16:43

Same as previous years - huge hamper of snacks and drinks eg beers, pork scratchings, nuts, chocs, sweets, scampi fries/pub snacks, popcorn, cider, various local juices and other products, nice coffee, Christmas tea bags, chutneys etc etc etc.

It’s always his favourite present.

TipseyTorvey · 03/12/2019 16:45

A really nice winter jumper and matching hat from Norway, a personalised bottle open and a set of artisanal poncy ales. Have given up getting him gadget as he's so particular and has to spend 3 months on which before he'll choose so a bit dull but he'll like them. Might chuck in some specialist dark choc actually.....

peaceanddove · 03/12/2019 16:46

A monthly posh cheese subscription (he loves his cheese). The GCHQ puzzle book, proper nerdy mathematics stuff which is right up his street. Goose down pillow (to stop him pinching mine).

Buscake · 03/12/2019 16:48

Bread machine
Pizza stone
Naice metal lunchbox
Band T-shirt

CointreauVersial · 03/12/2019 16:49

I've bought him a picture (based on a map of his home town), some lounging clothes from Abercrombie & Fitch, a leafblower for the garden and a beanie with a built-in head torch.

AliasGrape · 03/12/2019 16:56

We’re just doing ‘bits’ this year with a spend limit of £30 ish. I’ll get him beer, his favourite snacks and sweets and I’ve found a print on Etsy of a Shakespeare extract that’s meaningful to him that’s only £7.50 so I’ve ordered that and will put it in a frame. That’s probably the budget spent but was thinking maybe a daft little game of some sort we can take to amuse ourselves when we go on our cottage holiday after Christmas.

In previous years when budget wasn’t so tight I’ve done craft ale selection box, smart watch, concert tickets, supercar driving experience.

Last year there was a thread about stocking fillers for men in the Christmas and there was some kind of magic silver putty thing that apparently DIY types went mad for. Let me see if I can remember what it was!

ChilliMayo · 03/12/2019 16:57

An electric jacket.
And a long magnetic stick thing with a torch on the end.

If he keeps annoying me, I'll rewire the jacket to shock him and ram the stick thing where the sun don't shine.

caperplips · 03/12/2019 16:58

A jumper
shower gel and soap from L'Occitane

A stocking filled with:
Beer
wallet ninja
socks
pork scratchings
new scientist magazine
small bottle of port
boxer shorts

AliasGrape · 03/12/2019 16:58

Might have been Sugu? The magic diy putty I mean.

TreacherousPissFlap · 03/12/2019 17:15

A Jack Wolfskin coat (thank you Black Friday!)
A new shirt from Crew to add to the thirty odd already in the wardrobe
A digital weather station
Selection of beers and chocolate

LuckyLuckyWoman · 03/12/2019 17:23

trainers
man bag
mini chopper thing
two shirts
jumper
beer
whiskey chocs
viz
cook book
kite
thermal underwear

If I go anywhere near Clarks they have some shoes he'd like, but if I don't I'm not too bothered

LadyCordeliaVorkosigan · 03/12/2019 17:23

Some posh tea (Jing)
More of our crockery because he asked for it
A shirt (tradition - he gets me clothes too)

Also a game for the family.
