ASOS vouchers for nursery staff?

patchworkelephant123 · 21/11/2019 08:12

I'm really struggling as to what to get the nursery staff. They are so good with DC and I want to show my appreciation without buying tat or wine and chocolate.

Would an ASOS voucher be a rubbish idea? They are all between 8 - 24 I would say. If this is rubbish, any other ideas please?

If you're going down the voucher route, how about a costa voucher?

What value of voucher are you proposing? If you opt for somewhere that does clothes and purchase a £10 voucher for each member (which imo is pretty generous) they would be likely to need to add their own money when taking delivery etc into account. I think you'd be better off going for something like Costa as a pp said, where a small voucher will buy a whole 'item' as it were

CharDee · 21/11/2019 09:38

I'm a nursery manager and my staff would love something like that. It's a really generous gift! We get loads of chocolate and wine which is always greatly appreciated! We never expect gifts though so it's always a nice bonus!

Some people don't like coffee/tea/hot drinks so a Costa voucher wouldn't be something I'd choose for someone unless I sure they'd use it.

stucknoue · 21/11/2019 09:43

I would go for a supermarket personally, whatever is convenient in your city because they can use it to treat themselves to wine/chocolates/clothes etc or something they actually need/towards essentials. A £10 clothes voucher could end up costing them more money in postage and if nothing is that cheap.

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 21/11/2019 09:44

I'd have much rather had ASOS at that age (or now Grin) than Costa.
How much are you thinking of giving?

PurpleFrames · 21/11/2019 09:53

I'm that age range and asos/boohoo/pretty little thing/nasty gal vouchers all good and affordable :)

patchworkelephant123 · 21/11/2019 09:55

I was thinking £15? There's three of them but they've done a lot to help DS this year, of which I'm really grateful.

I know at least one of them doesn't drink coffee so Costa is out, although a good idea!

I think this is a lovely generous gift. I used to work in a nursery and everyone would of been thrilled with this. I wouldn’t go for Costa voucher though purely because I know a lot of people who don’t like coffee.

Chilledout11 · 21/11/2019 11:40

I think it's a fantastic idea and very kind !!

amusedbush · 21/11/2019 12:39

I'd love an ASOS voucher! You can add a gift voucher to your account and it's saved until you want to use it.

20viona · 21/11/2019 12:40

Fab idea I'd be delighted.

LtJudyHopps · 21/11/2019 12:59

Costa do other things though - lunches, hot chocolate, cooler drinks. ASOS they’d have to add money to it and pay for delivery for something.

Simonsaysitschristmas · 21/11/2019 13:27

I think ASOS - there’s so much choice for under £15, especially in the Boxing Day sales.

Also, girls that age will be buying from asos anyway so the voucher will knock money off their orders, rather than them having to add to the voucher to buy something, if that makes sense.

Crystal87 · 21/11/2019 13:30

I'm not sure. Unless you know that they would definitely buy from there. I think it's a bit personal unless you know them well enough to decide.

misspiggy19 · 21/11/2019 13:32

I would get Amazon vouchers. What if they don’t like it shop at ASOS?

viccat · 21/11/2019 16:59

If they dress in clothes you think they do/could shop on ASOS then I think it's a great idea. There are lots of items on there for £15 and under.

Another option is the more generic Love2Shop vouchers that work across a range of brands from Boots to New Look to Wilko and more...

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 21/11/2019 17:02

ASOS! What an ace idea!

I’m pinching it if that’s ok?

BloodyCats · 21/11/2019 17:06

God there’s some miserable people here!
I think asos vouchers are a great idea. Go for it.

Luuby86 · 21/11/2019 17:10

As the least girly girl you can imagine I would rather the Costa voucher. I don't think I've ever bought anything from ASOS in my life! I don't drink coffee either but I do like a good hot chocolate/mince pie/biscuity treat Smile

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 21/11/2019 17:45

ASOS sells absolutely everything under the sun though. No requirement to be "girly" at all!

BloodyCats · 21/11/2019 17:50

As a fellow non girly girl o can confirm there is still plenty of choice for clothes etc.

SqueakyPig · 21/11/2019 17:51

I’m in that age range and I have never bought anything from ASOS!! I do however go to Costa at least once a fortnight, if not weekly - I also hate coffee, but like PP said, Costa does Hot Choc, bottles of pop/juice, milkshakes, cakes/food

Lauren83 · 21/11/2019 17:54

Im getting mine Boots vouchers I think, I did chocolate and wine last year when he was in the first room but thinking a £10 voucher for them all this time
