What’s your pet peeve on Social Media

Mine is the sharing of misinformed/ outdated/ fake news, due to people just sharing based onthe headline and bothering to actually check the article

I also refuse to share anything on Facebook that includes guilt trip and Obnoxious language. I.e, “No one will share this” “bet I won’t get one share” “if you don’t share”. There was a post last week that was a picture of a beautiful baby (Who just so happened to be black). The caption- “No one will share because they are racist.” Like WTF, I felt that was actually racist to white people, because to say that everyone of a certain race is racist, is racist for saying that all white people have the same views!

There’s a lot more but I am too --hungover-- tired to list them all Grin

And calling each other 'this one'. And 'though'. Posts that are just them and their other half in Costa with the caption 'This one though'.

ScottishBlendTeaBags · 04/11/2019 17:52

'This one though'

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhhh

Pommes · 04/11/2019 18:14

"All the feels" e.g. putting my baby clothes into the loft gave me "all the feels."

Filters. It has been said many times but... absolutely yes, especially the lashes one!

Influencers who are forever apologising for getting things wrong, all the time, because their followers tell them (real example) that posting footage of a homeless person drinking in the park without permission is REALLY not on. Employ some ethics.

Pouty mirror selfies with random captions e.g. "truth hidden in eyes" type codswallop.

I have friends that post pictures of their children asleep or lying on the sofa saying "my poor baby has been sick and has a temperature", or something along those lines, i don't like it at all, I'd hate for someone to take a picture of me like that

WTF99 · 04/11/2019 19:30

Blessed.

Unless you're actually meeting the Pope, fuck off

justgivemewine · 04/11/2019 19:30

Lots of peeves already mentioned, far too many to repeat. Much better since ive discovered the joy of the snooze feature

Not a peeve but made me , people have recently posted photos on our local village (for local people Grin )fb page and blanked out their kids faces, yet if you go on their profile their kids are there in full glory for everyone to see.

BrigitsBigKnickers · 04/11/2019 22:49

Thought of a few more-

People who post pictures of their dinner when out at a restaurant- I really don't care what you are eating at the local Harvester! Hmm

Or acting like they are some sort of goddess in the kitchen by posting pictures of a buffet they have lavishly prepared by opening a lot of boxes and packets from Iceland and plonking them on paper plates covered with doilies! Grin

Tigresswoods · 04/11/2019 22:55

Yes! @dontforgettofloss I absolutely do not understand posting pictures of your sick child!? Imagine if they did that to you?

TrainspottingWelsh · 04/11/2019 23:30

Another is posting eg 'lovely day out with my princess, love quality time with bubz' Followed by several hours of continuous comments and conversations.

GunpowderGelatine · 05/11/2019 13:32

One I've noticed more and more - pictures of people holding their elderly relatives hands - just a picture of the hands. Usually said elderly person is dying or in hospital. It makes me think what kind of sick says "hold my hand nana" then takes a picture and puts it on Facebook for sympathy

WelcomeToGilead · 05/11/2019 15:07

People wishing each other happy birthday while presumably sitting together...
