Moved in 2 weeks ago, has been playing the drums every single day for about 5 hours each time. Rather annoyingly they've actually got rhythm and aren't that bad but ffs, I'm 8 houses away and its so loud. I work from home and even my colleague on the skype call can hear it. I feel really sorry for whoever is directly next door to them.

Is there rules/laws against this sort of nuisance?

hahahshahaaaa, women know your place!
you must always ALWAYS put a man first.

You should always put aside what you are doing, and help and support any man in your local vicinity.

Musicandad

The OP has been round several times and only managed to peak to him once, the OP said that his response was "a grunt" and "whatever".

So yes the next step is to complain officially,

as for the bit about electronic kits and dampening pads, this is the compromise that you make to be a good neighbour.

My son loves drumming so we bought him an electronic kit with headphones. It's still SO LOUD. It goes right through the floor and walls of our (flimsy) house, despite DH rigging up a complicated series of sound-proofing on the floor.

I can't even imagine how loud a real kit would be, on a wooden floor. ☹️

@Musicandad - I gave up half way through that diatribe. I don't normally criticise grammar, punctuation etc but your post is unintelligible.
