Just that - how much do you weigh if you're 5 foot or thereabouts?

OP posts:

‘ I do have thunderous thighs though 🤣’

Me too, even at my lowest weight (7.9) I still had a big sturdy thigh and a big round ass. The ass is a bit jigglier now but I still have a good thigh. Grin

This thread is fascinating, my happy weight is 8.4, I know I can go into a shop and lift a petite 8 off the rack and it’s guaranteed to fit top and bottom. If I go anywhere below 8st I genuinely look ill, I lose weight from the the top downwards so my face is the first to go and I look gaunt. Obviously it’s all to do with body shape and distribution as another PP said but I just can’t imagine someone the same height as me at 6.13 feeling they have to lose more weight, you’re a very healthy weight for your height OP.

IceniSky · 27/10/2019 08:29

4'9 and 7 stone 5 at 41. Aiming for 7 stone.

Clankboing · 27/10/2019 08:29

Good God, all I'm seeing on this thread is self-hatred. Stop it.

shearwater · 27/10/2019 08:31

My ten year old daughter is 5'1" and 7 stone ish, size 4-6 ladies clothes.

NaomiFromMilkShake · 27/10/2019 08:31

I lost five and a half stone on the cancer diet, four years ago, I am now 5 3 and 8 stone 2. I don't recommend it.

I struggle to put on weight, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer (now I saying I had breast cancer ( trying to be positive), clear margins, and no lymph nodes.

I am having chemo as belt and braces, I am worried about losing more weight, I already (in my opinion) look like a bag of bones.

IdblowJonSnow · 27/10/2019 08:35

8 stone 5. Prefer to be 8 stone or bit under as it makes me a size 8 rather than a 10.
But can't seem to lose it.

I agree, I would give anything to be overweight and healthy again.

So be careful what you wish for.

bsc · 27/10/2019 08:45

Some flowers for suebnm and for naomifrommilkshake. Flowers

You both been through so much, and I wish you both better, happy futures Wine

Groovee · 27/10/2019 08:49

I'm 5ft 1 and 11st. I am overweight but I've lost 5.5st. I'm happy at this weight and depending on where I shop, I am an 8-14 in clothes. Usually depends on the material used. I suspect if excess skin was removed, things would be different weight wise.

Clankboing · 27/10/2019 09:05

Quite NaomiFromMilkshake!! I completely agree with you. Excess weight is really not worthwhile worrying about in the greater scheme of things. I also agree with a pp who was concerned that the OP zoned in on the lightest weight mentioned.

Littlepond · 27/10/2019 09:06

11 stone something. I’m obese.

testing987654321 · 27/10/2019 09:10

I noticed the OP only be interested in the very lightest.

I am 5'1 and about 7 st. Reading this it has struck me how light I am compared to most. I have been underweight most of my life, now on the low end of a normal BMI. How fit and healthy you are is much more important.

WizzyWanta · 27/10/2019 09:17

I'm exactly 5ft and weigh 7 stone. However I'm peri-menopausal and a have gained half a stone over the last 9 months, which I am desperately trying (and failing) to lose as buying clothes at the moment is a nightmare!

OhJustElfOff · 27/10/2019 09:18

I agree with some of these comments, I come out as on the heavier side compared to lots of posters but feel fit and healthy. I am not skinny shaming, I just don't suit being that light and I am amazed at what my body can do - make two children, run a marathon, lift weights. That is what matters

Mrsjayy · 27/10/2019 09:24

Im just reading the op replies why would you want to loose more weight 6.13 is quite slim .your bottom have shape is probably your body shape i think a lot of small women and thighy and bummy.

BlobbyTheLump · 27/10/2019 11:53

@boredboredandmorebored
I'm very tiny in all aspects.
Small boobs, small waist and a slight bum.
Not quite straight up straight down, because I've had DD, but my shape hasn't changed an awful lot since puberty.

I don't diet and don't really exercise (although do a lot of walking.)
I have always stuck at this weight since about 14 though, that's when I stopped growing and developing.

ShinyGiratina · 27/10/2019 12:08

I'm 5'2 and about 9st 2 ish, towards the top end of my happy zone. A few lbs more and it starts gathering on the mum-tum, bum and thighs and I can feel the jiggle when I run. A few years ago I felt great at 8st 10, but my body seems reluctant to go that low

6s and low 7s are the relms of teenage gymnasts' weights. It's not healthy for mature women to be pushing their bodies that low if it's not naturally there on a balanced healthy diet. Women are supposed to have some fat stores around their bodies. It is frustrating being small with a slight margin between feeling your best and an excess, for me being a pear shape, I easily lose my waist and am never counterbalanced by my bust. I can't hide a good dinner Grin

PurpleDaisies · 27/10/2019 15:06

I just can't seem to go below 6 stone 13!

Why would you want to? You’re at the low end of the healthy weight scale anyway.

SuperMeerkat · 27/10/2019 15:25

Hi to all the shorties 👋 5 foot tall here and last time I dared to step on the scales I was 11 stone 😱 I could have cried.

dameofdilemma · 28/10/2019 15:36

"6s and low 7s are the relms of teenage gymnasts' weights."

But it can be perfectly normal. A smaller adult frame will logically weigh less. Smaller hands/feet, narrower shoulders/hips, lower muscle mass etc. Genetic differences play a part too (eg people of South East Asian origin tend to be smaller).

I'm around 7st and that hasn't changed much for 20 years but all of my family are on the small side. I look healthy rather than skinny.
And short. I look very, very short.

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 28/10/2019 15:41

About 7st 6lbs

FunOnTheBeach20 · 28/10/2019 15:42

5’3” 9 stone

moanyhole · 28/10/2019 16:21

Wtf OP. I'm your height and 7.12 and very slim at that. How could you possibly feel that you need to lose anymore weight at 6.13. I once in my 20s went to 6.10 due to extreme stress. I looked awful and my periods stopped for a few months. If I was 6.13 I'd be looking to put weight on, not off. Like Insiad a stone heavier than you and no way would I need to lose any weight. Im slim but healthy. Are you thinking straight or do you think you have an ED. I mean that kindly.

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 28/10/2019 16:25

5ft 1 and anywhere between 10 and 11st. Size 12 in most places, 14 if it’s jeans
