TanselleTooTall · 30/09/2019 19:08

Has anyone else had the delight of eating one?

I'm not sure about raspberry creme, but I need Mr Kiplings Mint French Fancies after seeing them on a programme about the Mr Kipling factory, despite not actually liking mass produced cake.

I've tried two Morrisons and one Tesco so far but haven't seen them, so need to look in a bigger better stocked Tesco.

Theytastedisgusting · 02/10/2019 13:02

My friend lives in Spain and I have to take her a huge bag of raspberry ruffles whenever I visit.

Big question though - why do they taste of coconut???

SwizzelStick · 02/10/2019 13:06

Because they're made with desiccated coconut? If you look at the centre you can tell that it's coconut.

BenWillbondsPants · 02/10/2019 13:14

What the hell?? Why did I not know about these?

A Frys Chocolate Cream is my all-time favourite bar of chocolate, but a raspberry one may take things to a whole new level. I'm thrilled by this!

Aderyn19 · 02/10/2019 13:19

You have my eternal gratitude. So going to Poundland this afternoon. I still mourn the loss of Fry's five centres, although I used to get irritated that the chocolate divisions weren't in alignment with each flavour!

Nonstopbuttmachine · 02/10/2019 13:41

No Fry's bars where I live (forrin) but Poundland will be my first port of call when I go back to the UK at Christmas!

We do have Milka bars here though; I discovered a 'Dark Milk' one with pieces of raspberry in an obscure supermarket last week. The same shop also also randomly stocks special edition Ritter bars - last winter it was Spiced Biscuit which were Biscoff flavour ShockShock

drowningincustard · 02/10/2019 13:44

ooh i only knew of the peppermint one and the recesses of my brain might acknowledge orange ones, but a raspberry one sounds divine!

MulticolourMophead · 02/10/2019 13:52

Raspberry? Oh, I'll be looking for these, then.

Mum was a real lover of the plain and Mint Creams, it was one of the last things she tasted. I'll get mint ones, even if I can't find the raspberry.

HelenaDove · 02/10/2019 14:32

Barbara yep thats what i saw. My dad would love them.

HelenaDove · 02/10/2019 14:38

I bought some Lotus Biscoff biscuits from Iceland last week. On the front was a sticker advertising Costa"s Lotus Biscoff muffin.

BarbaraofSeville · 02/10/2019 14:38

Ooh, nice to know that they actually exist in real shops, sometimes you see things in magazines etc only to find that they've either long sold out, or were only sold in a certain area, or didn't pass the trials or something, so you end up looking for something that doesn't exist.

The Tesco I looked in is quite a small rubbishy one, but we do have a couple of proper Tesco extras a little further away, so I need to have a look in one of those.

TanselleTooTall · 02/10/2019 14:39

Last one was eaten today. Straight from the fridge so it makes a satisfying crack with every bite into the chocolate. Bloody lovely. And I don't even particularly like dark chocolate.

Can't wait to buy more and funnily enough, I've never eaten Fry's creams before now Shock. I'm slowly morphing into my mother who raved about Fry's creams yonks back (and I turned my nose up at)...

I do like a Frys cream, something pleasingly nostalgic about it.

But what on earth is a raspberry ruffle?

Papergirl1968 · 02/10/2019 14:48

Wiltshirelass the orange Twirls are to be found only at the Cadbury factory near Birmingham, I hear. A bit far for you if you live in Wiltshire!
As for Fry’s I love the orange ones, but I don’t like raspberry anything. Wish they’d made a strawberry version instead Wink

NoTheresa · 02/10/2019 16:36

I have tried without success to get a Raspberry Cream bar.🥺

bookmum08 · 02/10/2019 18:36

Back in the 90s I used to work in a newsagents. We used to get new chocolate bars when they were still in limited supply because they were being tested how well they would sell. It only recently occurred to me that it may have been because our supplier was based in Birmingham - home of Cadburys. I remember getting Twirls new.

HelenaDove · 02/10/2019 23:58

Raspberry related.................................Some Sainsburys stores are doing a promotion with beanies coffee. They are in a cage at the end of the aisle in the local store.

Two flavours Pumpkin Spice

White Chocolate and Raspberry.

Ive tried the former but not the latter. I have one jar of the Pumpkin Spice one (its nice enough but an acquired taste IMO.

And four jars of the White Choc and Raspberry one. Not tried this flavour yet but i know i will like it.

£1.95 a jar instead of the usual £2.50 price.

73kittycat73 · 03/10/2019 00:36

Does anybody else eat them buy biting off all the chocolate, then devouring the inside? Blush Grin

73kittycat73 · 03/10/2019 00:37

*By, not buy. Blush

ilovepixie · 03/10/2019 01:01

I need this in my life so much!!

Drabarni · 03/10/2019 01:04

Aw, they are my favourite chocolate ever. Our poundshop had them last year but haven't seen them recently, I'm going tomorrow.

TanselleTooTall · 03/10/2019 01:05

73kittycat73 No Blush I just devour it.

Munch munch, crunch crunch.

Omg I need these and the French Fancies but the buggers both have palm oil in so I must resist. Sad

Papergirl1968 · 03/10/2019 11:18

Oh yes, you have to bite off the chocolate. Same with Chunky KitKats, Mars Bars, Milky Way etc. With French Fancies you have to eat the fondant first. Themz the rulz!
