... and at St Jonathan's Church, Lowbeach-on-Sea, the Dean of Lowbeach (the Very Reverend Anselm Latimer) is helping the staff of Eastgate Primary School get the church ready.

This is so lovely, and I’m so touched by the way you write about your memories of making scenes with your son. He must have had such a wonderful childhood with you. I hope my children feel the same one day.

SoMuchToBits · 01/10/2019 22:34

Thank you Fold . I hope he has good memories of his childhood Playmobil scenes.

I wonder if there will be a Halloween celebration this year in Playmoland?

SoMuchToBits · 01/10/2019 23:45

Possibly, SewMuch . Depends what I can find in my Playmo resources...

YAY! I don't do/like Hallowe'en, but I shall make an exception for the Playmo version!

SoMuchToBits · 02/10/2019 22:04

Hmm, after looking at what I have, I think it might be difficult to get much together. Maybe I should think about some other event/scene which might be more feasible...

Lovely stuff, as ever! Thank you. Smile

Wow A playmobil church and
CHoir! Who knew?

Have you playmobil children in hats and scarves? Maybe they could gather in the playmobil park for fireworks night?

SoMuchToBits · 02/10/2019 22:36

We've had the church since 2011 - we bought it for the Royal wedding!

We do have Playmo children in hats and scarves - they featured in last year's Playmobil Advent Calendar. But we don't have any Playmo fireworks...

Thanks for that. Grin Your Playmobile world is very impressive. Lovely story telling too.

I don't think they do any Playmobil Fireworks, but you could make (or have any children you know - ask at the local school!) a backdrop on a big piece of black card, with lots of glitter? And then just have a bonfire and the figures in the foreground? You can get Playmobil hotdogs - they could be holding them too! Or these could (almost!) be sparklers...?

SoMuchToBits · 03/10/2019 20:27

I think we might have a flaming torch at least. It was the Olympic flame in the 2012 PlaymOlympics! Grin

There you go, sorted!!

SoMuchToBits · 03/10/2019 20:36

I'm not sure you can get a Playmo bonfire, although maybe we could improvise with some tree branches stacked together and some flames (from our many fire rescue sets) put on top... Grin

Not that I'm over-thinking this, oh no!

FurrySlipperBoots · 03/10/2019 20:54

The campfire from this set is good (too big to be a campfire in fact - I swapped it with one of my little campfires from the old days when I was young and Playmobil was better) You don't want to buy the whole set for that though - the tents are pants! Your idea sounds creative and awesome! Just lower the lighting and it'll look fab. You could hide an orange led nightlight in the middle to give it a glow?

SoMuchToBits · 03/10/2019 20:59

Ooh, I'd love that set! It would have been good for my Playmo summer holiday thread which I did in August, although I had plenty of other camping sets (and a very small campfire) .

Those trees would look really good separated into 'branches' with the leaves taken off, piled up to make a bonfire! You're making me feel inspired OP! Unfortunately my current little munchkins (I'm a nanny) are 6 months, 6 months and 18 months so I've no excuse to get my collection out.
