Would you go to the cinema alone to an evening show??

Really would love to go an see the downtown abbey movie but have no one to go with and would have no problem going on my own but dont want to look like a sore thumb

I go frequently on my own...have a Cineworld unlimited card and like to get my money's worth! I tend to time arrival so that the film is about to start which, where I am, is about 20-25 mins after scheduled time.

No I wouldn go on my own. But then I wouldn’t go to a restaurant on my own either

I wouldn't because I don't really like the cinema so only go with DH once or twice a year because he likes to. Pre DS he used to go at least twice a month sometimes with friends but often alone, lots of people do. I think he enjoyed it more without me asking a million questions.

Yeah why not? It's better than missing out or going with someone not interested or noisy

Yep, I’ve done this a few times. When I separated from exH I spent lots of time alone when the DC were with him. I bought a cineworld card and used it most weekends.

Went on my own after storming off on DH after argument. Great place to hide. That's when I discovered I loved being on my own. No one took any notice of me.

Of course! In fact I am going to see Downtown Abbey tonight by myself. I genuinely don't see why it would be weird.

I do this all the time. My guilty pleasure. Take lots of nice snacks that I won't have to share too.

I happily go to the cinema on my own in the daytime, but for some reason I can’t really explain I don’t like the idea of going on my own in the evening. Completely illogical!
