Can anyone recommend a set please? May be not quite as expensive as Le Creuset. Thank you.

I have an IKEA one. Very happy with it.

Trumpton · 14/09/2019 09:11

I know I watched Shop Well For Less and the first show of the current series showed a family of 10.
They were shown super makers cast iron at a fraction of the price that worked just as well .
Grr ...think it was Sainsbury .

I have Sainsbury's and they are fantastic

chemenger · 14/09/2019 09:12

I have one from Sainsbury’s and it’s great.

linentowel · 14/09/2019 09:12

Oh yes Trumpton. I saw that and I think it was Sainsburys.

Thanks for the IKEA recommendation too.

I have had Sainsbury’s ones for years. They are great.

olderthanilookapparently · 14/09/2019 09:14

Aldi have loads from Sunday

MoltoAgitato · 14/09/2019 09:14

Aldi have them on offer at the moment.

Justkeeprollingalong · 14/09/2019 09:14

I have 1 Aga pot and 3 from Sainsbury's. The Sainsbury's ones are often in the sale so can be a quarter of the price. They look just as good and perform/last just as well.

Lyingonthesofainthedark · 14/09/2019 09:14

Definitely Aldi had a cast iron casserole dish and a cassoulet recently, as my sister bought them.

BertrandRussell · 14/09/2019 09:17

I love my SAinsbury pots. Not such lovely colours, though.

As an aside- on Shop Well for Less- what’s the point of showing them cheaper alternative to stuff they’ve already spent megabucks on?

DontFeedTheCatCake · 14/09/2019 09:18

Agree with Sainsbury's. Also TK Maxx sometimes have le creuset at a good price.

linentowel · 14/09/2019 09:19

Thank you everyone.

I also have the ones from Sainsbury's. Why pay ££££ when you can get the same product for much less?

Probably to inform the viewers that there is a cheaper equally good product out there which they can save money on.

nachosTrafficante · 14/09/2019 09:20

Marks and spencer had some lovely coloured ones.

Ichangedmynameonce · 14/09/2019 09:24

The sainsbo ones seem v similar to le creuset and are v often on offer.

PullingMySocksUp · 14/09/2019 09:26

I got a marks and Spencer’s one in the sale a few years ago and it’s been really good.

Balloondog · 14/09/2019 09:28

Another one recommending Sainsbury's own brand - they're sturdy, nice colours and often on sale so very reasonable.

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 14/09/2019 09:30

yy to sainsburys
they're very often on offer as well - I think mine was less than £20 on a half price deal.

MuseumOfYou · 14/09/2019 09:58

Another vote for Sainsbury!

GilmoreMe · 14/09/2019 09:58

How do you pronounce le creuset? My trying to be very posh friend mentions hers All THE TIME and I'm sure she says it wrong!
I have the sainsbos ones and am very happy with them.

BertrandRussell · 14/09/2019 09:58

“Probably to inform the viewers that there is a cheaper equally good product out there which they can save money on”
I hadn’t thought of it like that. We learn as we mock the idiots!

picklemepopcorn · 14/09/2019 10:05

Gilmore le croozay.
