I am in so much pain tonight. Just no idea what is wrong with me.

My entire body aches from head to toe. I have terrible pain in my sides like I've pulled all my muscles from vomiting so much but I haven't been sick at all. My joints hurt, knees and fingers in particular. I was reasonably ok yesterday.
This happens on a regular basis. Sometimes its accompanied by an upset stomach. Sometimes it's just so much pain. I am so uncomfortable my bed is hurting me. My clothes are hurting me.
Even on a good day with very low pain I have to wear stretchy clothes now and nothing too tight or they hurt me. My skin feels so strange at times that it's like there are insects crawling over it or sometimes like its burning inside. Even my eyes hurt. They itch and burn so much.
And I cant think straight. I forget what I'm saying halfway through a sentence or forget a word I'm looking for. I just dont know what's going on now. I've had blood tests and they are all normal. I dont really know how to deal with this pain that seemingly has no cause.

Keep an eye on the Medichecks site - they frequently do 20% off offers, and every Thursday they discount one of the thyroid tests.

You could beg your GP to test these things and if they refuse you could ask to see an endocrinologist. Maybe have a good read of the Thyroid U.K. website.

I will speak to my GP again regarding the thyroid once I have my next set of results back. I dont think he considers there to be anything wrong with my thyroid and only upped my medication because I requested it based on what I had read on the internet. Most of what I've read suggests my TSH should be a lot lower than 4. I'm hoping I will find its come down but I really hoped I'd feel much better with increased thyroxine and I really dont.

Are nurses at your GP practice able to request blood tests?

I had a routine 'well woman' check with a nurse and she happily requested various blood tests, including B12, when I asked. I do have health issues and she thought it was perfectly reasonable to check there weren't other issues making things worse.

It might be worth trying a nurse appointment to see.
