Water seems so boring. Don't want anything with sweetener. Used to use Capri sun until they switched to sweeteners... ideas?

Water.

Grimbles · 03/09/2019 22:15

Crystal Meth

Wait, sorry... I was getting it mixed up with squash. Easy mistake to make though...

PassMeAnotherCoffee · 03/09/2019 22:41

Grimbles now mine are teens they get crystal meth for an afternoon snack on Fridays. But they have water the rest of the time to reduce the damage to their teeth from the meth.

notso · 03/09/2019 23:08

Younger two take squash in their lunch bags and water for the rest of the day.
Older two take only water.

Kiwiinkits · 04/09/2019 00:18

Nothing. There’s a refillable free no waste jug of water at kindy.

Happyspud · 04/09/2019 00:33

Just water. They get sugar from all directions so this is one area I’ve managed to keep some control.

Ohyesiam · 04/09/2019 00:38

Water

Nat6999 · 04/09/2019 00:40

Ds leaves home with water but due to the fact he passes several supermarkets on his way I honestly don't know what is in his flask by the time he gets to school, knowing him it could have either an energy drink or frappe coffee.

hittheroadjack1 · 04/09/2019 00:42

A carton of apple/orange/tropical/pineapple juice

squeekums · 04/09/2019 00:42

squeekums · 04/09/2019 00:45

Pieceofpurplesky · 04/09/2019 00:51

DS is starting year 11 and has never had anything other than water

MonChatEstMagnifique · 04/09/2019 00:51

I’m just here for the comments

So glad my teeth aren’t made of egg

OkPedro · 04/09/2019 01:08

MN is not the place to ask this question op
No one gives their children mcds
No one gives their children a treat other than the 5th Friday of the year and only then..
No one drinks alcohol unless it’s the bottle of wine that’s been in the cupboard for 3 years and then they share it amongst 10 people

OkPedro · 04/09/2019 01:09

And some people believe their teenagers have only ever drank water ffs Grin

Koalablue · 04/09/2019 01:24

Water. I don't know anyone that puts squash in bottles for kids. They do get a frozen juice box when the temperature hits 40 though.
I'm in australia which have a huge ant problem so it might have something to do with that.

OkPedro · 04/09/2019 01:32

I don’t generally tell people what drink my children take to school so unless you’re looking at the childrens drink bottles or asking your children, then how the hell would you know?!

AMidsummersNightsNightmare · 04/09/2019 01:41

Orange or apple juice.

Derbee · 04/09/2019 01:57

I’m amazed that anyone gives anything other than water.

OkPedro · 04/09/2019 02:02

Why are you amazed derbee who do you think is buying flavoured water, diluted juice and fruit juices? I’m amazed that people don’t realise how different we all are...

BusterGonad · 04/09/2019 02:21

@OkPedro 😂
Just water for mine, I did try a bit of fruit juice but it's so hot where I live that it almost ferments by 3pm!
I personally get my fluid intake from tea or squash. I'm not a huge water lover!

OkPedro · 04/09/2019 02:55

bustergonad I actually love water Grin
My children... unfortunately I made the mistake of giving them juice when they were toddlers! They do drink water but I give diluted juice for school. They have water at home and sometimes milk. They have orange juice with their breakfast. I can understand why some adults and children don’t like water so I’m not going to force my children to drink it. They see me drinking water all the time. I rarely have juice as I don’t like it

bogginmacaroni · 04/09/2019 03:27

Diluting juice as the water is manky here.

Derbee · 04/09/2019 03:56

@OkPedro I just don’t understand why people would give their young children juice for lunch at school, when they won’t be brushing their teeth for many hours. It’s different at home.

I see you gave your children juice when they were toddlers, so I definitely am not going to have the same opinions about drink as you are.

raspberryk · 04/09/2019 04:07

I'm amazed people still diluting fresh juice for school age kids I thought that was only for when they were toddler.
At school I think ours are only allowed water in their bottles but can have anything at lunch so mine get a carton of smoothie. I don't feel they would easily get their 5 a day without it tbh.
