Do you leave your washing on the line overnight?

Because I do. Or did...

I have no fear of ‘darking’

Or of spider willies

But something laid eggs on my tee shirt last night Shock

Never again.

Argh!!!

LollipopViolet · 02/09/2019 10:47

Ugh, that's made my skin crawl. I don't leave washing out overnight and now I'm glad I don't!

DarkLikeVader · 02/09/2019 10:52

It’s horrid. I am fighting the temptation to burn the house down (DH brought the washing and and upstairs before I found this 😭)

Hmm. I leave my washing out overnight all the time - never seen anything like that before. The odd spider accidentally brought in with the washing, yes.......

LollipopViolet · 02/09/2019 10:57

Burning the house is a tad excessive, I'd just burn the t shirt...

Strugglingtodomybest · 02/09/2019 10:59

I do. It just wash the t-shirt again, no harm done.

LazyFace · 02/09/2019 11:09

I do for about 2-3 days when I forget. Had spiders lay eggs before, I felt horrible but had to be removed and washed again.

HairyDogsOfThigh · 02/09/2019 11:23

Keep the tee shirt in a glass tank and see what hatches.

EmmiJay · 02/09/2019 11:32

Nightmare fuelSad

TixieLix · 02/09/2019 11:37

Having seen the amount of spider webs that are on my rotary dryer in the morning, I definitely don't leave washing on it overnight. Even clothes I leave to dry during the day get a good shake before I bring them in.

Feelingpoorlysick · 02/09/2019 11:45

They look like moth eggs

SistersOfMerci · 02/09/2019 11:49

No I don't leave mine out overnight and this is precisely why.

DarkLikeVader · 02/09/2019 11:51

Definitely not spiders. I think I’m going to scrape some off into a jar and see if they hatch. It’s never happened to my clothes in 12 years of overnight outside drying!

So something hatched 🤢

Do you leave your washing on the line overnight?

I never leave my washing out over night, have never known why just never done it. Now I know why Envy (not envy)

dreamingofsun · 04/09/2019 10:30

i do it saves time in the morning. I have a lovely friendly robin who sits on the line and poos on the washing sometimes....so the odd egg is ok.

WalkersAreNotTheOnlyCrisps · 04/09/2019 10:40

After this thread? Never.

NannaNoodleman · 04/09/2019 10:41

What are they? What hatched?

Congratulations on the birth of your spores!

CathyorClaire · 04/09/2019 10:44

I do it occasionally if I know I'm going to be pushed for time in the morning but I've never had anything try to breed in it. How audacious Shock

MarySibleysFamiliar · 04/09/2019 11:06

OMG! I will bookmark this thread and show it to all my friends who scoff at me disliking outside drying. I hate stiff clothes and towels, I don't like that"outside" smell, peg marks annoy me, I hate bugs and spiders in my washing and birds can't shit on clothes in a tumble dryer. And now I have this to have nightmares about too? 😱 Eek!

DarkLikeVader · 04/09/2019 11:09

nanna it’s still not recognisably anything! Except horror.
