Best way to remove peach fuzz on face?

It must be an age thing 😱. I keep noticing my face fuzz. How do I get rid of it? Epilating? Threading? Shaving?!

Anyway....

I just shave my face have done for years to get rid of the fuzz. It’s never left stubbly or doesn’t irritate my skin.

Professionally £35-£55 a session usually for dermaplaning and need min 4 weeks between treatments

Or DIY using these from Boots:

To the posts saying dermaplanning and don’t shave - I hate to burst your bubble but dermaplanning is shaving. It’s just a slightly sharper blade and a different technique that causes the dead skin to come off too. But that’s what the treatment is. Shaving the peach fuzz off your face

Biffsboys · 18/08/2019 23:20

Dermaplaning - it’s fab ! Every 6 weeks .

matahairyy🤣🤣🤣

I agree with you in principle but you’re expecting a lot of women for them to be martyrs to the cause when it’s their faces
Being a martyr implies you lose something. You lose nothing by opting out of shaving your face or face worse paying £££s for someone else to shave your face off no good reason. Yes you might be able to see hair in a magnifying mirror but who the fuck goes about with a magnifying mirror to check out other women’s faces.

YesQueen · 18/08/2019 23:28

@TheSandman because makeup clings to the hairs, because I like smooth skin, because I have a LOT of peach fuzz on my face, and because my work dictates I need to remove it. So that's that. I find it relaxing (I do it myself) and it takes about 10 mins

gamerwidow · 18/08/2019 23:29

Ps if you want to shave your face that’s up to you no problem but let’s not pretend this is something you HAVE to do.

gamerwidow · 18/08/2019 23:29

because my work dictates I need to remove it
What do you work as? A wax model?

TheSandman · 18/08/2019 23:31

Thank you. I know. I can't help but find it saddening.

And to whoever told me to "piss off and stop telling us what to do" - I can't be bothered to go back a page and find out who or quote accurately - I'm not telling anyone to do anything. Your face, do what you want with it. Just don't expect everyone to find what you do to it attractive, that's all.

YesQueen · 18/08/2019 23:31

@gamerwidow no, but a model. For beauty shots and very close up work it's just easier and looks cleaner to remove it. If I had a "normal" amount of peach fuzz I would leave it but I have a lot for some reason
So yeah, I take the hair off my upper lip because I don't want it in the photos, and if it's something like lipstick shots it distracts from it to

FurrySlipperBoots · 18/08/2019 23:32

Dermaplaning is brilliant! It can be really expensive though. I can only afford to go 4 or 5 times a year although I could really use it every month.

gamerwidow · 18/08/2019 23:33

YesQueen
Ok that is a niche job and yes I can see why it would matter in your case.

YesQueen · 18/08/2019 23:35

@gamerwidow you should see the armpit hair comments on an Instagram post of a model. Holy hell ShockShock
She looks bloody amazing and they're all ranting about the armpit hair 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm lazy, I don't always shave my legs or armpits because I CBA so it's as and when I need, and I've grown my armpit hair before just because I realised I never had and wanted to see what it was like Grin

Mokepon · 18/08/2019 23:36

Eyebrow razors!!!

walkintheparc · 18/08/2019 23:46

I got dermaplaning a few times and then moved just a bit further away from the salon so decided to have a crack myself. I now would never bother paying for it!
You can get a pack of little facial razors from Japan that are brilliant, just make sure you have a good mirror and good lighting and a steady hand! I do it every 2 weeks. My hair has never grown back darker or anything.

loveluster · 18/08/2019 23:50

Firstly @matahairyy looool at your comment! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Secondly. Isn't derma-planing the same as shaving??

I CBa to diy. I like the relaxation of it all

DisplayPurposesOnly · 19/08/2019 07:23

Please don't. The world has enough freakily plastic, overly made up masks slapped onto people's faces.

Agreed. It's all a bit identikit.

gamerwidow · 19/08/2019 09:15

YesQueen
I confess to hypocrisy in that I shave my legs and armpits.
I’m not anti people doing whatever they like to themselves it just feels like everyday there’s a new bit women have to dislike for the beauty industry to monetise.
I don’t like when it moves from ‘you can do this’ to ‘you must do this or you’re ugly’

Pinnacular · 19/08/2019 09:45

I sporadically remove my peach fuzz, but rarely remove any other body hair...

Topsy44 · 19/08/2019 11:18

Watching with interest. I hadn't noticed until recently that I had peach fuzz and now I have become a little obsessed with it. My DD who sometime scrutinises my face said 'Mummy, your face feels lovely and fluffy.' Aaaagh, why is this happening? Yet more body hair I have to try and get rid of!!!!!!!!!!

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 19/08/2019 11:21

I just don't wear make up. Make up makes it very noticeable.
