Getting to grips with climate change means there will be some unpleasant changes for everyone, which will adversely affect some groups more than others. Conversations need to be had to minimise those effects but the changes have to happen.
Strict car emission test on the MOT, which will affect the poorer most as they are more likely to have older cars/ not be able to afford newer.
Not using any fossil fuel power stations - electricity will be more expensive and there will be times the country will not make enough.
Taxing aviation fuel needs to be global, planes can just fuel up in Europe or elsewhere. No one needs to fly on holiday, we have probably lived through the golden age of travel that is no longer viable.
The biggest one is population, how can this be reduced in a humanitarian / ethical way? If it isn’t tackled, climate change will tackle in with food and water shortages, in worse case leading to famine, mass migration and wars.
This reads more bleak that I think it could be, but everyone needs to be realistic and accept that we will probably have a lower standard of life in the future.
