It's the summer holiday season for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so every day during August I will be bringing you some photos of what the Playmolanders are getting up to this summer.

Mole! Love it.

The mole in the hole is brilliant!

The mole is actually only half a mole - so you can only use it in the molehill unless you want it to look like its lower half has been removed!

Half a mole? Well that's saved the planet from a bit of plastic!!

Yes, although at least Playmobil is the sort of plastic which gets reused many times. It's rarely thrown away, usually passed on (sold, kept for the grandchildren or given to charity shops etc).

Actually several of our sets are second hand from eBay, including the biker at campsite. A few bits were missing from that set, so we had to order spare parts online from Playmobil, including the half a mole!

At the campsite, Sioned runs the well stocked shop. It has magazines, postcards, fresh fruit and veg, toiletries and beach toys, as well as ice creams.

There's also a small café. Ianto, Gwydion and Patch are enjoying a drink.

Enfys, Arwel and Ceinwen are choosing ice creams.

Bethan is buying postcards and Delyth chooses an apple from the shop. Sion would like a bucket and spade, and Iolo is thinking about an ice cream.

More customers in the café. The boys love the campsite cat!

Owain drives the campsite service cart. Today he's delivering some new cups to the café.

Now he needs to unblock a sink.

He also does a bit of garden maintenance.

Owain sounds like a handy chap to have around.

hey! Marta and Matteas have arrived ! (he looks a bit warm that jumper) but good to see them !

and their boys too.. I am so pleased...

Oh I'm not moaning about the use of plastic. There is no better use than this.

Am I the only sad mum/nanny who looks at the pictures on the box to make sure all of the correct bits are where they should be and the characters are wearing their correct clothing etc?

I knew you'd be pleased, Laska!

I'm sure Owain is very handy.

Knitting, I do make sure that the families are matched up correctly. And if they have, for example a hat, no-one else can wear it.

Although with the removable women's clothes I did chop and change clothes quite a bit for my royal wedding people.

Oh and Laska, it's a bit of a chilly day!

I also gave to make sure they have the correct accessories. Mine are not allowed to swap clothes.
My visiting American grandchildren are not playing with them properly.... AIBU?

Ceridwen, Mostyn, Dafydd and Nia are going on a cruise. They are very excited! Brodie the captain welcomes them aboard.
