It is nearly midnight & it's 34 fucking degrees in my bedroom!

I cannot sleep. It's an ungodly 34 degrees in my bedroom. All the windows are wide open across the house but there isn't a breath of air to be had. I'm trying to keep cool by regularly squirting myself with cold water. I tried sleeping in a different room - right under the window but it didn't help. I am sick to death of this. I have a really important day tomorrow & I'm thinking I might have to cancel as this will be my 3rd night without sleep unless I can manage to nod off soon. Angry - boiling!

Try soaking a sheet or towel in cold water, wringing it out and then wrapping yourself in it - had to do this during the summer in Australia as I was melting. Did help get me off to sleep then. Worth a go.

I’m melting in bed next to a husband with sinus issues. I suspect sleep will elude me a little longer

I'm downstairs on the sofa with a baby who will only sleep on me. Her bedroom is boiling and she's too hot for the Sleepyhead. I am tired, hot and grumpy! Bring on autumn!

Stick a sheet in the freezer for a bit, roll yourself up in it and try to sleep before it warms up!

It's bloody awful, isn't it.
I have one of those blue insides of a cool box on my chest and the fan on full blast and I'm still 🥵

I'm on the sofa too. 31 upstairs here and husband reckons he'll be ok but it's just too hot for me to sleep!

Off to Center Parcs in the morning with DS 7 & 2 so need some sleep but we'll see what happens!

Same here op........do you have any fans ?? I have a standing fan placed at the foot of my head. It blows cool air over my nakedness all night so I've been sleeping surprisingly well.

I feel your pain OP. I've come down to the living room to sleep on the sofa because it's the coolest room in the house. By coolest, I mean it's the only room that's slightly less like sitting on the devil's arse crack 😒

Oh my days it is far too hot. I need to sleep so badly. Dogs are on their cool mats and I'm half tempted to push them off and lay on them myself.

I am literally melting. Can't open the windows in my daughters room either as some idiot numbers are having a small gathering where everyone is pissed and getting louder. Also found the biggest moth ever above my head but managed to lock it in the bathroom lol.

Have you got a hot water bottle? Take the cover off.

Run the tap for a bit until cold then fill with cold water. Stick on your feet and it cools you down a lot.

I've just called the weathermen cunts because they're claiming it's 25 degrees. No it fucking isn't. It's 34 upstairs, downstairs and out fucking side. I've felt drier in the shower than laying here. Prickfeatures is snoring his head off and has been since 9pm, and now the cunting cat wants to flutter her fucking fluffy tail and arse over me.

They can all piss off until its a more reasonable temperature and I'm not so dehydrated (despite drinking constantly) that my one toilet trip today felt like I was pissing sand.

I might be a little testy in these weather conditions.

Have a hot shower then get out and straight onto your bed and let yourself dry as you fall asleep. Always works for me.

Oh I hAte it's it's absolutely boiling in our room and the kids room worry a fan on . I really hope tomorrow cools down a lot like they are predicting I can't bare it any longer .

Ahhh me too, I fucking hate this heat I'm such a winter bunny. The air is so still here too. Also recovering from a c section and my baby is miserable and not enjoying having his face smooshed up against my sweaty boobs every few hours to feed.

I have literally just taken my nightie off, run it under a cold tap (until soaked) wrung it out out and put if back on- bliss!! sat on a towel now on a dining room chair but feels amazing!!! I can feel it drying already but the relief is unreal!! Had a cold bath 30 mins ago but soon lost the sensation of coolness -will just wait for the storm now!
