Which brand of sanitary towels don’t cause the burning pain of a thousand suns?

I switched to washable pads when all brands started impregnating their pads with scent, causing immediate itchy agony whenever I used them. Now I have to go away for a weekend when I will be on my period with no access to laundry facilities. I have neither the time to order nor inclination to use a menstrual cup. As a one-off I will use disposables but which ones are scent-free nowadays?? I used to find that it wasn’t always labelled on the pack as it had become so ubiquitous and I really don’t want to end up inadvertently stuck with the pain (or the horrible synthetic floral smell, come to that!). Can anyone recommend a scent-free brand?

Always ‘Sensitive’ are unscented and soft. They’re the only ones I will use now.

Always, the pink soft and fresh ones, £1 or less usually! Just like they used to make them - totally unscented

Do you usually wash your reusable ones every day?

I don't, I save them all up then just wash them all together at the end of my period. If away for a weekend, I'd just pop used ones in a sealed bag and take them home with me to wash.

Lillets are the only ones i can use tbh

Avoid the big brands, supermarket own brand or Boots own brand usually arent perfumed, or use tena pads, I know their bladder leak underwear arent perfumed.

Bodyform in the orange packet are great. No scent.

Natracare! They're organic cotton and biodegradable. I have quite heavy periods and get on just fine with them. I've used their maternity pads and panty liners too, great quality. They aren't much more expensive than regular pads either.

Always Infinityare the best disposable pads known to man. Other pads rub my skin off by day 2 of my period. These are made of foam, they hold lots more and stay dry on top. Only place I can buy them locally now is boots but it’s worth a special trip. They are amazing.

Get some of the basics range from any supermarket. They are like old fashioned towels, not the gel impregnated type

They do intially seem bulky if you have been used to the new types but the covering is quite soft

Not the morrisons own brand. I might as well have lined my knickers with 60 grit wet and dry.

The cheapo always ones. The pink pack. I think they are the silk ones. Only pads that don't make me itch

Another vote for Bodyform, I just get the blue nighttime packet, they're not that big or bulky and you're very I likely to leak with one of those.

I like the bodyform ones which say unscented on them, it can be a mission to find ones without perfume though. The perfume gives me thrush and the smell turns my stomach too. In fact my current user name was inspired by accidentally using always scented ones

Sainsbury's, Morrison's and Tesco all are non-scented.

Body form are good. If you're heavy the night ones in the purple packet are the biz.

Bodyform perfume free are readily available in Tesco and the like - the orange packet, the pink packet (with wings) and the blue night time ones are all fine, no scented hideousness or burning sensation.
