Which politicians do you rate, regardless of party?

In these troubled times it’s hard to like an entire party.

I would like a government with the following cabinet members:

Jess Phillips
Tom Watson
Phillip Hammond
Jo Swinson
Ken Clarke
Michael Heseltine
Rory Stewart
Ian Blackford .

Anyone want to add some names to my list?

None of them. I just can't rate any of them. Some of your list have been my MP. Wasn't that impressed.

hadthesnip2 · 21/07/2019 10:19

Ah....another remainer thread. Well done.

Harebel · 21/07/2019 10:25

@Flooopers what a disproportionately angry, spittle-flecked post, must've touched a nerve there.

You might want to revisit the Talk Guidelines, I cba reporting your pathetic post.

Take a look at the Reading Comprehension thread whilst you're there sweetcheeks.

TravellingSpoon · 21/07/2019 10:51

I like Vernon Coaker who is our local MP.

I also really like Stella Creasy and Caroline Lucas.

And I respect Norman Lamb for his work on MH.

Since you didn't say UK only, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I watched the Netflix documentary about her and a few other women running for govt and she is dynamite. Pure charisma! She is only in her 20s but so well spoken and intelligent. I absolutely think she stands a great chance of being President.

HillRunner · 21/07/2019 12:53

I would have previously said Rachel Maskell, but I recently found out she voted against extending legal abortion to Northern Ireland. Her rhetoric regarding women's rights is not backed up by her voting record on abortion.

I know it’s my thread but good cal on internationals - I’m going to add Jacinda Ardern from NZ.

Magid is another great shout.

PS this thread is not a remainder thread @hadthesnip2 but even if it were, why os that cause for sarcasm?

Well, I got my choice for Lib Dem leader a shame the two choices tomorrow aren’t good contenders, but I infinitely prefer Hunt.

Yvette Cooper

MissGiddyPants · 22/07/2019 17:45

Sheesh.

Some right charmers on these lists.

BigStripeyBastard · 22/07/2019 18:38

I have an unnecessarily massive crush on admiration for Sir Keir Starmer and I have always had a soft spot for Ken Clarke.
Although I do listen to an unreasonable amount of Radio 4 in the car and they do all tend to merge into one cacophany of voices all spouting the same stuff in the end.

spingiscomming · 22/07/2019 18:43

Jess Phillips
