If someone gave you £20,000 tax free what would you spend it on?
You can't spend it on bills or day to day expenses.

Double glazing, a new bathroom, and a road trip in Canada with business class flights home

NerrSnerr · 20/07/2019 19:28

I'd get my garden completely redone.

BananaBeforeBed · 20/07/2019 19:31

An extension!

HollowTalk · 20/07/2019 19:31

I'd buy a new car and go to Australia to see my friend.

HollowTalk · 20/07/2019 19:32

I wouldn't go to Australia IN the car Grin

User67836 · 20/07/2019 19:33

I would book an amazing holiday for next summer, and not worry about spending this hols. Would do Legoland for a weekend, treat the kids, pay for next year's scouts and music lessons so I dont have to worry about them. Book a spa weekend away with DH and have a facial mole removed, pay for a eternity ring. Think about replacing the downstairs flooring.

ExpletiveDelighted · 20/07/2019 19:35

A new kitchen and a holiday.

BlueMerchant · 20/07/2019 19:35

New furniture and flooring and a few weekends away staying in nice hotels and buying some really nice clothes and little luxuries for friends and family.

Teaandbi5cuit5 · 20/07/2019 19:35

I've always fancied starting my own business, but I have absolutely no idea what I would do.

I would use it as deposit on a house 😊 up here 3 beds go for 80,000.

TalentedMsRipley · 20/07/2019 19:35

Route 66 with my dd.

S0CKS · 20/07/2019 19:36

Air con in my entire house all the rooms decorated beautifully and a contribution towards a holiday in Japan

TalentedMsRipley · 20/07/2019 19:36

And self publish my book.

stucknoue · 20/07/2019 19:37

Kick h out tomorrow, worth every penny

nomushrooms · 20/07/2019 19:37

If I’m allowed to be sensible, into the savings for the bigger house fund.

If not, then a lovely family holiday plus a luxury trip for DH and I to Tahiti while DD stays with the in laws Smile

londonloves · 20/07/2019 19:40

Pay off debts.
Is that too dull? Would then free up £550/month fun money.

Teaandbi5cuit5 · 20/07/2019 19:41

@NotSoThinLizzy where do you live? That price is amazing!

RushianDisney · 20/07/2019 19:41

I'd book a few courses I've had my eye on but couldn't afford the fees as well as the necessary childcare to do them. And a painting holiday and a family holiday. Anything left I'd use for babysitting so I can go for a run.

NotSoThinLizzy · 20/07/2019 19:43

The very very far north of Scotland. Go any farther you're in the sea 😂

BendydickCuminsnatch · 20/07/2019 19:43

Get a studio to start my business from. I guess deposit and some rent, supplies etc

LittleFairywren · 20/07/2019 19:43

If I'm not allowed to pay off debt, I'd book a couple of short breaks, put a couple of thousand towards decorating and blow the rest on getting the garden done.

Kazzyhoward · 20/07/2019 19:44

I'd buy the best 3d laser printer I could afford and start a business making customised model/hobby items.

BertieBotts · 20/07/2019 19:44

We'd buy a Hyundai i30

BertieBotts · 20/07/2019 19:45

If there was money left over, use it to go on a driving holiday.

Dowser · 20/07/2019 19:46

I bought a static caravan two years ago
I bought a car last week
Holidays abroad are sorted till next year

So I’m a bit stumped as to what I want / need

There’s something I really I want to buy some land
That amount would buy me a postage stamp .
Oh I know
I shouldn’t hAve bought the van and car 😂

I’ve seen a lovely piece in Scotland with views of a loch... bit of a hike even from northern England

I don’t know why I just fancy some land to leave to grandkids
