What's your MBTI type?

I'm an INFP. At first I felt kind of affronted, but actually think in many ways it's rather accurate.

Obviously juat for fun. Not suggesting you can tell the personality of someone straight away by using 16 types before someone comes on and says it's bollocks/why do I believe in it etc.

I think DH is ISTP.

If you're an INTJ what job do you do?

SparklesandFlowers · 20/07/2019 07:38

INFP. Lots of it is absolutely spot on, the rest of it pretty accurate.

CollaterlyS1sters · 20/07/2019 07:39

LONA

ChocAuVin · 20/07/2019 07:41

ENFP-A.

Every. Single. Time.

Kind of want to be a mysterious, aloof, rare INTJ. Oh well — clearly not my destiny as I’m 40 now!

I can however type others very easily if I spend enough time with them. My colleagues say it’s my talent and often get me to ‘do’ people like some kind of second-rate psychic Hmm

Etino · 20/07/2019 07:46

Done it many times over the years and it’s always the same. @Isleepinahedgefund- we’re overepesented amongst coaches.

HeyMicky · 20/07/2019 07:51

I'm an INTJ.

@MoodyFucker I work in digital change management. So I need to plan new processes and drive them through, and also identify skills gaps and make sure they are filled. Because I have industry expertise I'm usually right (in a professional context). BUT I have to be quite conciliatory and social and gently persuasive - that's hard work for me, especially nicely telling senior people they're missing basic skills. It's become easier the more senior I've become - my title bestows more authority. It was much harder 10 years ago

HeyMicky · 20/07/2019 07:59

(digital marketing, not IT)

Justbloodystopit · 20/07/2019 08:01

ISFJ-T

Makes a lot of sense. I struggled with some questions, some were like oh bloody hell, yes that's me...

I'm going through some stuff at the moment which doesn't really link up to it at all, but kind of makes sense. Anyone done the paid version?

afrikat · 20/07/2019 08:04

ENFP-A Campaigner.

I think it's pretty accurate for me 😊

31RueCambon · 20/07/2019 08:18

The T/A bit stands for turbulent / assertive and I think it's how certain you are in your own decisions, how decisively you do things and how open to change you are/how fearful you are. So it may at first seem that A is 100% good and T is bad, but you want to be hovering in the middle somewhere. Not so certain in your choices that you're blind to other ways of doing things or blind to new opportunities. Not so fearful of turbulence that you never try anything new or take a risk.

AlpenCrazy · 20/07/2019 08:23

ENTP although I've not done it for years

31RueCambon · 20/07/2019 08:24

PS, all of the weaknesses really resonate for me. These are things I've had to work my way out of. So the strengths really describe me at my full potential and the weaknesses were definitely traps I fell in to in my youth. If you've a bit of awareness though, you can just say, ok, gonna be aware of that and try not to behave /think like that now.

I love all of those articles on thought catalogue, ''why you're single according to myers Briggs''. Why you were fired according to myers briggs. They are so funny!

31RueCambon · 20/07/2019 08:30

why you were fired according to your Myers Briggs type

Funny what they say about INTPs working in the middle of the night. My INTP colleague struggles with normal hours and has gone in to the office at 20.00, worked until he was starving and thirsty and then gone home to sleep with no thought to what time it was. Next day at work, colleagues see an empty desk and think ''not here again''.

Parsley65 · 20/07/2019 10:06

I'm an ISFJ and it's a very good fit for me.
It's fun to get the rest of the family to do it too and see how accurate it is 😄

ForalltheSaints · 20/07/2019 10:58

I can't remember but it is Krusty the Clown from the Simpsons' type.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 20/07/2019 11:24

I get either INFP or INTP.

YeOldeTrout · 20/07/2019 11:31

Sometimes I am an INTJ. Right now I work as a data analyst. Before i worked in science (statistics) and retail. I sometimes fancy getting MSc in medical stats.

Problem with the quizzes is they are based on what may be inaccurate self image. I don't see myself as creative or innovative, but one colleague insists I'm extremely creative & full of original ideas. And I can be a right bossy Cow*.

*always charmless, though, I keep that one consistently, harhar.

QueenMabby · 20/07/2019 11:41

Is there a link to this online - have seen it mentioned loads but have never done it on myself.

Dollywilde · 20/07/2019 11:49

Just retested and once again INTJ - always get the same result.

I work in business development in a law firm - so business planning, marketing campaign strategy etc. INTJ is ‘the architect’ so think it’s a good fit!

GotToGoMyOwnWay · 20/07/2019 12:18

Just tested on another site & got a different answer- ESFJ compared to my earlier ENFP-T

i need to compare the two & see.

AdelaideK · 20/07/2019 12:42

ISTJ. It's definitely true for me.

SamanthaBrique · 20/07/2019 12:43

I did the test twice, got two different results and couldn't really see myself in either! Then I did a bit of reading about the test and it's inventors (not scientists or psychologists), as well as a few critiques of the method.

VioletCharlotte · 20/07/2019 12:51

I'be done this a few times and usually come out as ENFJ but I've also had INFJ. That makes sense to me as I do seem to swing between being extrovert and introvert. I believe that's known as ambivert.
