My husband ate a sweet he found in our daughter's car. He feels extremely disorientated and unwell now. It m ay not be linked at all, but we have suddenly thought could the sweet have actually been a drug? Totally shocked, praying it isn't. Does anyone recognise these? Thanks so much.

@TheHodgeoftheHedge ... the fact pms are being sent just makes me chuckle even more at OP and this post.

taylorowmu · 19/07/2019 18:54

Take the sweets along to a & e with you so they can test them.

They didn't. They did t even test him. He spoke to a triage nurse and was sent home.

starfishcoffee · 19/07/2019 18:59

I can see the funny side (and have giggled), but I do feel for OP.

Imagine your husband eating something that resembles crack that was found in your young daughters car. Worried for you husband, and then having to deal with knowing your daughter is using drugs. < doesn't look like a 'weed sweet' to me.

HalfManHalfLabrador · 19/07/2019 19:04

How did the talk go?

Sara147 · 19/07/2019 19:06

I’m new here so I don’t know a lot...you don’t have to be rude

FlibbertyGiblets · 19/07/2019 19:09

Oh dear. PMs sent, do we need an intervention, Nemo shark style?

deedeegee · 19/07/2019 19:13

Get medical help!

Just stumbled on this thread; the first half of which is the funniest thing u have read in a very long time. So funny in fact that my uncontrollable laughter disturbed my sleep- refusing toddler just as he was starting to drop off, and now he's wide awake and having a paddy. Thanks for that.

Nanajadus · 19/07/2019 19:17

Looks like cinder toffee to me.
Can you believe I actually originate from one of the biggest drug renowned cities.

Insanelysilver · 19/07/2019 19:18

Macca84 That’s unnecessary and is not a very kind thing to say about OP !

wherethefucksyourmanners · 19/07/2019 19:18

@missmouse101 I'm really really sorry but this really doesn't look like any type of weed sweets. I wonder if she's thought quickly of the least "serious" drug she could think of when put on the spot by you asking her yesterday ? How worrying xx Thanks

Knittedjimmychoos · 19/07/2019 19:19

I have enormous sympathy for op and simultaneously feel its hillarous and I would be laughing in rl if it happened to us.
But then we are used to these bizzare happenings Grin

Knittedjimmychoos · 19/07/2019 19:20

Where that's what I thought too. Least serious drug.

ArtificialArctophile · 19/07/2019 19:23

Been following this like 😱
Someone rocks up at A&E, unwell after having having consumed an unknown substance. Is triaged by a nurse and sent on his way after a very short period of time, without seeing a doctor or the substance being analysed to see a) what is actually is and b) if it could have long term health implications for the patient. No health professional would do this, they are leaving themselves open to having their arses sued for negligence, should anything further occur.

As we say here in the West of Scotland: aye right. I definitely smell a huge big pile of stinky, steaming shite.

Macca84 · 19/07/2019 19:24

@Insanelysilver erm, she's sending aggressive PMs to a PP, dear Hmm

It’s shit that this post has descended into a complete piss take of the OP. The ganging up of vipers attempting to out do one another with ‘jokes’ and puns is bullying plain and simple. Grow up.

At least they are doing it on the thread 🤷‍♀️

Soola · 19/07/2019 19:35

@missmouse101
You need to understand what bullying is and not just use it flippantly.

The op can walk away from the thread at any time or ask for it to be deleted if she doesn’t like the banter or people questioning her or commentating on her husbands stupidity.

Bullying requires a victim and the op isn’t a victim in any sense of the word.

missmouse101 · 19/07/2019 19:37

@TheHodgeoftheHedge, just the one pm. I simply asked if you were accusing me of lying? To those who asked, naturally we took the bag (paper as I said - I never mentioned tissue...) and contents along to A+E with us for examination.

So what did they say?

4legsandawaggytail · 19/07/2019 19:41

They look a bit too uniform to e drugs but I honestly have no idea. Could be just old sweets.

This is the most mumsnet thread ever to appear on mumsnet.

Looks like tablet to me (as in the sweet, not an actual tablet). Surely a non drug user who ate a lump of crack that size would be dead pretty quick?
