To save the ball ache of making sandwiches I would buy a ready made platter from sainsburys or M&S.

Cheese and meats
Vegetables and dips
Crisps
Fruit salad
Cheesecake
Gateau
Ice cream

parrotfashionista · 11/07/2019 16:52

Someone mentioned Magnums or ice lollies for dessert on a recent thread - I did it at my sons 1st birthday and it went down a treat!

Nofunkingworriesmate · 11/07/2019 18:26

Cheese and picked onions? But really it should be pineapple!!
Dips
People like labels so they know what they are eating

Bunnylady53 · 11/07/2019 18:38

If I make sandwiches for a kids party, they tend to be left.
Mini pasties & porkpies
Mini scotch eggs
Cocktail sausages
Ritz crackers spread with cream cheese
Cucumber sticks & pepper strips ( at least an attempt to be healthy!) with some sort of dip
Cheese
Small slices of pizza
Crisps
Breadsticks
Mini sausage rolls

I don’t bother with a lot of sweet stuff if there’s birthday cake but personalised cupcakes go down a storm
Chocolate fingers
Iced gems

Bunnylady53 · 11/07/2019 18:39

Cater for the adults too with cold meats, salads & crusty bread & butter

squee123 · 11/07/2019 18:41

For the adults, cocktail sausages cooked in honey and mustard and served warm. Food of the gods.

trackingmedown · 11/07/2019 18:41

If you are serving french sticks make sure you have proper butter. I can’t bear it when bread is served with ‘spreadable butter’ or a low fat spread.
