Rightmove listing - what is this thing in the kitchen?

Idly scoping out rightmove for property porn and found this one: www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-80077217.html

Can anyone identify what the things are in pic 7 of the kitchen?

I assume the black thing is the back of some kind of storage unit, but what is the silver thing that looks like a personal cryogenic chamber?

And why is it all wedged in the corner of what seems to be a fairly spacious kitchen on the floorplan?

The adjoining kitchen is small as in it’s just thr one for your gym room. Maybe they prepare their smoothies there, or prepare the “treatments” there?

Itssosunny · 09/07/2019 16:35

I've looked at it again and it doesn't have a door to open but rather something like a window. So I think it's for dirty laundry. It goes all the way from the top floor to the -G. Alternatively it's an escape slide route from burglars or fire.

It’s an “Auto-Chicken-Infinator”.

This is basically a device that can make an average chicken of around 1.5kg last around 26 days providing daily meals for two adults and up to four children.

It’s only available to particular MN users.

They’ve stripped the house of all character. It might as well be a new build.

It's a beautiful property, but I can't get over the fact the monthly repayments are more than I earn in a year ConfusedConfusedConfused

UselessTrees · 09/07/2019 17:09

Maybe that's where they keep Jeff Goldblum?

Herocomplex · 09/07/2019 17:10

Beautiful, but incredibly personal to the owner I think, despite how bland it is. It would be difficult for a family to move in without massive changes.

NoLeopard · 09/07/2019 17:16

I absolutely adore that house. Weird, because I don't like big isolated houses, much prefer small houses in neighbourly streets. But that is perfect. Wish there were more photos

Think its a time machine OP

lolll I have been watching Dark I must say

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 09/07/2019 17:34

Its a beautiful place though I must say

Soontobe60 · 09/07/2019 17:39

I'm amazed at the price! It's such a boring house that could be so beautiful. A case of substance over style.
Also, it looks like a steam cabinet like this.

I live in the same village and pass the house all the time on my dog walks Smile. Until it went up for sale I had no idea it was so big and modern at the back, from the front it looks like a very traditional, beautiful Hampshire house.

I’m told (but don’t know for sure) it’s owned by an American family. It went under offer pretty quickly so somebody likes it (and has a big bank balance).

It’s a very expensive part of the world, even so, the price is amazing! A seven bedder with pool and tennis court in the same lane has just sold at an asking price of just under 2 million. (Although it does need a lot of work).

I think we need to arrange a viewing

Well clearly we have a handy mole in oldfatandtired1! We'll kit her out with a 360degree google streetview camera and send her in for a gawp careful evaluation.

What's the strange object by the wall in the dining room in picture 4?

Tonnerre · 18/08/2019 09:17

TBH if I was the seller I'd be pretty pissed off with that estate agent

Given that they have a buyer, I doubt the vendor cares that much.
