in the sweet shop near my school, these were labelled as Tom Thumbs.

MamaLazarou · 29/06/2019 22:11

oh no, Tom Thumbs were hard sweets, these look soft, like jelly tots.

Yabbers · 29/06/2019 22:12

Jelly tots are round and more flat, aren’t they?

PineappleSeahorse · 29/06/2019 22:13

Yes, to me they're a little more round and flat, and slightly firmer. And even more delicious.

Same as a couple of previous posters - jube jubes.

MrMeSeeks · 29/06/2019 22:38

not jelly tots, Jelly tots are tiny and midget gems have no coating on them.
Always call them gum drops ( or pear drops when i was a child for some reason Confused)

Leeds2 · 29/06/2019 22:49

Jelly tots are flatter, I guess button shaped.

I think the ones the OP refers to are jelly sweets.

deste · 29/06/2019 22:56

I’ve only seen American hardgums looking like that but I’ve never seen smaller softer ones that your describing

PineappleSeahorse · 29/06/2019 23:11

You get them in bags of Dolly Mixtures, Dickzilla, though they can sometimes be bought alone, or sold as cake decorations.
