Something like UNO?

Or a board game without a million pieces

Basically want something we can get into on holiday so pick up and play each evening and not too complex but keep us interested

Adults and kids 12-18

Any suggestions?

5 crowns. Best card game ever. Kind of like gin rummy on steroids.

I would suggest old school card games - whist/partner whist/crib/Newmarket.

Otherwise we are currently enjoying fruit salad but my girls are younger.

6 nimmt - easy and fun! 2-8 players I think.

Phase 10 - a bit like rummy, but different challenges on each phase. Can pause mid game and continue later.

Take playing cards and different coloured pasta ... poker! Hours of fun in a rainy tent. In fact any game that involves gambling (with tri coloured pasta of course, looser washers up, winner gets breakfast in bed!)

Was going to say exploding kittens as well. It was bought with younger ds2 in mind but teenage dc always play it with their friends and we’ve played it with other adults just because it’s a laugh.

Bananagrams - it's not a card game, it's a banana shaped bag with letter tiles, it's a bit like scrabble but a lot faster and more fun.

Dobble or 5 second rule

We like SUSHI GO
That's fun.

Just got a new one , Star Wars: I've got a bad feeling about this. That's quite good, and slightly anarchic as cards games go.

We taught our teenagers to play poker for pennies. I figure they may as well learn to be card sharks at home.

Dobble ,
Exploding Kittens ( not the explicit one ),
UNO,
Two ordinary packs of cards and a book of card games .
