If you could do any degrees (all funded) what would you do?

You would be able to do as many as you want and have no money problems so won't have to work.

I would do:
Psychology degree + masters
Go to medical school and specialise in something
Something to do with nutrition

Veterinary medicine , Archeology , Marine Biology and Astrophysics .

wtffgs · 27/06/2019 21:45

History and French - but I couldn't hack 20 year olds again - I did my degree in my 30s and felt ancient then!! Would probably do OU.

BurntSausage · 27/06/2019 21:47

God, so many things. Part of me regrets my undergraduate degree (arts based), but it got me where I am now (ex-curator) so I shouldn’t be too down about it.

I’d like to do something languages based but I didn’t even do any A Level languages, just became obsessed with them after I’d left school. I’d love to have done a year abroad somewhere.

bringincrazyback · 27/06/2019 21:49

I'd do a Diploma in Translation - I've translated two novels and it's my dream career (second only to being a novelist myself).

Then I'd do a Creative Writing degree and become a best-selling novelist as well. Grin

Archaeology. Find it fascinating. Very few jobs though.

sproutsandparsnips · 27/06/2019 21:51

Ooh medicine, or Latin with Italian or a MFL.

cricketmum84 · 27/06/2019 21:51

Something along the lines of counselling/psychology. I would love to retrain as a therapist but can't afford it and don't have time amongst trying to keep us all afloat working full time.

PeoniesarePink · 27/06/2019 21:51

Tudor History, English Lit and Photography.

But I don't think I could handle being around 18 to 22 year olds all day........... Grin

BendydickCuminsnatch · 27/06/2019 21:55

I have no idea. Didn’t go to uni in the first place as had no clue what I wanted to do. I semi-fancy doing a degree but only so I could say I have one. I can’t write an essay to save my life. Would probably choose art but would have to go back and do GCSE and A Levels. Wish I had in the first place!! I am a cake decorator nowadays so that would have been a nice foundation.

Featherbag · 27/06/2019 21:56

DH and I had this very (drunken) conversation recently, I decided I'd like to do Philosophy and Theology, then maybe Medicine just for shits and giggles (I'm a nurse currently)!

Bananasandchocolatecustard · 27/06/2019 21:56

Women’s Studies.

GrassWillbeGreener · 27/06/2019 21:58

Music, Classics, Theology, and a higher degree in Physics. And statistics as despite doing maths/physics as an undergrad, the only stats I've studied was via medicine which didn't satisfy my mathematical sensibilities.

Snog · 27/06/2019 21:59

Art or neuroscience or genetics

tinkering · 27/06/2019 22:01

I’m halfway through an applied linguistics degree but I really want to do media studies and psychology, I’m hoping to in the future at least do one!

Lessstressedhemum · 27/06/2019 22:03

Archaeology then paleo archaeology.
Divinity
Some kind of environmental science but ds2 is an ecologist, specialising in marine biology and there are no jobs in that at the moment
Biochemistry, which is what I wish I'd done in the first place instead of classics.

PissOffPeppa · 27/06/2019 22:05

German
History
History of art

I dream about winning the lottery and doing a million degrees

cannycat20 · 27/06/2019 22:09

PhD in Magic on Children's Literature....

carrie74 · 27/06/2019 22:09

Ooh mine are so diverse.

I'd love to go to Film School and learn about the technology of making films (I've worked in the industry, but in finance, would love to know more about the editorial side of things). At one time I wanted to be a film producer, so film school would be amazing.

I've toyed with the idea of History of Art, I quite fancied doing it at GCSE/A Level as an adult, but as I understand it Michael Gove banned it as a subject as it has no value Hmm. Thanks Govey.

My degree and career are both quite business-y, and I quite like the idea of an MBA (although my professional exams would have covered many of the same areas).

On the other hand, the thought of doing exams again makes me feel sick!

C0untDucku1a · 27/06/2019 22:11

I have a degree and masters so instead id go for professional quals in accountancy.

RJnomore1 · 27/06/2019 22:14

Law
Psychology
Spatial planning
Public sector management

All on my to do list seriously...

Then something around tudor history for a laugh

DivisionBelles · 27/06/2019 22:14

MA in History. I have the undergrad, which I did in my 30s. Would love to go back and learn more

sevenoftwelve · 27/06/2019 22:17

Yes, that detail stifles my imagination somewhat. I think I'm all exam'd out for one lifetime.

ladymalfoy · 27/06/2019 22:19

HeronLanyon · 27/06/2019 22:20

Music production (studio based), drama, carpentry. I’ve also always wanted to understand physics.

RedWineAllMine · 27/06/2019 22:29

I'm due to start a Criminology & Psychology Degree in October. But I'm wondering wether to change to Criminology & Sociology. End result becoming a Crime Scene Investigator hopefully, as the course covers forensics also.
