Just been called a tax dodger!

My colleague just called me a tax dodger and technically he was right.

I have size 3 feet and buy children's footwear because it is cheaper. The reason it is cheaper is children's shoes don't attract VAT.

Please tell me I am not the only white collar criminal among us?

I can usually fit in kids trainers - my latest pair are bright pink and cost £22!

My DM is 4'11 and gets her trousers from the children's department

The apple doesn't fall fall far from the tree 😂

I assume all this tax dodging is offset by all the kids who are in adult clothing whilst still children. I'm not in the market yet but are bras that are branded as 'teen' exempt from VAT?

I live on a cul-de-sac of five properties, all self builds. There were only four planned originally and the last plot was divided into two. Number four never got a water meter or a water bill. In over 20 years the house has changed hands five times and no-one has ever owned up.

Well if you are wearing Lelli Kelly's you deserve to be let off the tax.

dillusionaldog · 26/06/2019 17:13

DS is 14 and still in a size 5 so I haven't had to pay shoe tax ever so far

whoah, whoah whoah, stop right there. where do size 5 kids shoes? because im a 5 and i would definitely be getting on board with that.

ALongHardWinter · 26/06/2019 17:15

He sounds totally bonkers.

Well I have yet to find grown up shoes with glitter and lights Envy

I think most junior trainers go up to a 5. Jd and sports direct definitely do.

Asda do kids shoes up to a size 5, they do a nice line in sparkly summer shoes @dillusionaldog (not sure how to link people so that might be wrong!)

SouthernComforts · 26/06/2019 20:15

New Look 'teen' shoes go up to a size 6 at least.. Wink

My Nike and Adidas kids trainers are a 5.5. Loads of places do kids shoes up to a 5 or 6!

amusedbush · 27/06/2019 09:19

Oh, also, my gorgeous Dr Martens chelsea boots are a 5 and cost me less than £70 thanks to an online discount code. They are really sturdy and the quality is on par with the adult boots!

Squirrel26 · 27/06/2019 10:30

Yep. I’m a 5. It’s pretty easy to find kid’s trainers in my size!

Her0utdoors · 27/06/2019 10:44

Oh the shame! I used to but size 39 shoes from the M&S children's ware department. And I don't drink of smoke.
