Can anyone suggest somewhere in the uk for a couple of days away alone

For the love of Christ I need some time alone!

I’ve got some time off in August and would like to go away for 2 or 3 nights. Preferably near the coast, happy to not be in a big busy seaside town but don’t drive so a few amenities close by is necessary, preferably around 2h train from London...a hotel with a pool would be the cherry on top tho not a must!

Budget is about £300 which I know being school holidays may be tricky!

Any help gratefully received!

We stayed at the George Inn in Rye a couple of weeks ago, it was lovely and relaxing, 14th-15th century buildings, etc, however, we found we pretty much did everything in a day, but if the weather's right Camber Sands is a short taxi journey, 3-4 miles.

It is a little strange, (chilled?), there though' many places don't open until 10o/c or even midday, sort of place you go once in a while rather than regularly.

I know it's not by the sea but have you considered Bath ? that's nice for a mini break
