Can you recommend me one please?
I’m looking to reduce plastic in our house so would appreciate your help.

After reading a similar thread on here I bought a bar from sand angels. Very happy with it, and won't be going back to bottled shampoo. Hair is fair, tends towards greasy, but I've not seen that yet. Wash my hair daily and not through the bar yet, after at least a month

I use seanik by lush, but I really like all lush shampoo bars

Bagadverts · 25/06/2019 19:08

Is there any particular bar you recommend for coloured hair? (I get mine done to cover grey.)

whiteroseredrose · 25/06/2019 19:23

I have a shampoo and a conditioner from the solid bar company. I got the versions for dry hair and they work really well.

My hair can last longer between washes.

Can't go anywhere near Lush as it brings my asthma on!

Are there any for dandruff? Blush I’ve only been afflicted since surgical menopause, so assuming it’s hormonal, but even T gel is leaving me flaky. I’m thinking there may not be a bar that’s up to the job.

I use a soal and soap bar. They smell lovely. Haven't tried conditioner yet. Or bought one for the dc but the tea tree one mentioned above sounds good to try to ward off head lice

Sean uk is amazing! I have quite fine hair which leans towards greasy and my hair has never looked better. I also use the Big conditioner (I think that's what it's called and love that too) it's a bit of a pain to use, I have to drag it over my hair in sections, leave it for a couple of minutes then wash it out but my hair looks clean, shiny and actually thicker!

showmethegin · 25/06/2019 19:45

Seanik! Not Sean!

My local garden centre stocks Ty these but at £2.99 per bar. It's great, lathers nicely, and a little goes a long way.

So far this year between 2 long haired adults and 2 mid haired children, we've got through a bar and a half.

Would the bars work with a magnetic soap holder or are they too heavy?

MyOtherProfile · 26/06/2019 08:41

I'm sure they would.

Oooh just found this thread...

First bar I used I cant remember but the latest one is from the Clovelly Soap Company and is lovely. Only downside was, I bought it from Amazon, where it was wrapped in a paper bag then a plastic bag

It did take me a while to get used to how my hair felt while it was still wet from the shower as I supposed I was used to the gunk traditional shampoos/conditioners leave.

I think my hair has been fluffier and I am no longer washing it everyday to combat itching.

Just coming to the end of this bar so will look at the other recommendations...
