Geeze you poor thing! How big is your bathroom? I'd resort to dumping a ton of toys/books/perhaps even a screen in there with you and shutting the pair of you in together. I hope there's room in there! Good luck!

moreismore · 20/06/2019 10:31

Can you put a big blanket or towel in bottom of bath with some toys to contain him? I agree deploy CBeebies if you can! And if there is anyone st all who can help you then call them (although they will prob then get it too...)

moreismore · 20/06/2019 10:32

Btw your OH is probably currently spreading the bug to his colleagues...

OH works by himself so hence the reason he couldn't get it off. Bathroom is tiny have resorted to putting toys in the bath with my phone for a while. Have a friend coming round later to help out thankfully. Their house has already had it 😊

I'm glad you've got support! Drink as much water as you can. Can you make yourself a little nest on the floor in there? Blankets and duvets? Some way you can try to get some proper rest.

bringthethunder · 20/06/2019 13:59

With being pregnant I would contact your GP/Midwife and ask their advice. You could get dehydrated much quicker and that's obviously no good thing. I would also be calling my OH and telling him that unfortunately he needs to get his arse home. Being self-employed it isn't ideal but surely also one of the perks of being his own boss! You're not being a hypochondriac, you're genuinely unwell and you need his help.

NotSoThinLizzy · 20/06/2019 14:10

I was debating calling a gp as I cannot keep anything down at all

OP posts:
Damntheman · 20/06/2019 14:14

Better safe than sorry OP. It won't be a waste of the GP's time either way! Call and get some help.

hookiwooki · 20/06/2019 14:23

Food is a non-issue really for a day or two (max), but if you can't keep water down you need to ring in, it's especially important you don't dehydrate and you might need some fluid replacement.

Hope you feel better soon OP!

Sound like what I had last year. Spent about 18 hours non-stop puking. It helped when I realised that liquids weren't helping as I'd throw up five mins after having even a sip of water. Though that did not help the dehydration.

The first thing I was able to stomach, bizarrely enough, were Quavers. Not my idea but DP's. I tried Rich Tea to no avail, but the Quavers did stay down.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

IHeartKingThistle · 20/06/2019 14:32

Oh bless you. You do need to sip water, I ended up in hospital last year with it because I got so deydrated and needed 5 bags of fluids!

grace7 · 20/06/2019 14:36

Hope you feel better soon! Call a GP for sure. I had an awful sickness bug when I was 23 weeks pregnant, I was dehydrated and had to go into hospital. Fortunately I managed to keep some fluids down and avoid a drip - was home in a few hours and DS was perfectly fine. Better to be safe though.

NotSoThinLizzy · 20/06/2019 15:06

Thanks is everyone. Is it normal to feel so cold with it?

OP posts:
NotSoThinLizzy · 20/06/2019 15:16

Theres not even bile left now. Just dry heaving and beining up what tastes like acid. I'm going to have to call ain't I?

letstryanewone · 20/06/2019 15:24

Yes call now, doesn't hurt and make really help

hookiwooki · 20/06/2019 15:36

It's normal to feel a bit cold, you're body is low on energy and is using up stores. But call, better safe than sorry, especially being pregnant.

NotSoThinLizzy · 20/06/2019 16:06

Says to keep trying fluids at home see how I feel in a couple more hours.

NotSoThinLizzy · 20/06/2019 17:47
