Names for comforter

My 14week old DS has grown fond of a comfort blanket which he uses to go to sleep with. It's a cuski comforter, so not an animal or anything which would probably be easier to name! At the moment, it has lots of names... comforter, rag, cloth, thingy...
Does anyone have any permanent name suggestions? Or have any children with comfort blankets that had special names?
TIA

That's a moomoo in our house!

GroggyLegs · 12/06/2019 22:21

muchtootired you've bought back memories of my DS1 sleeping with a mound of muslins! They had to be just right though, freshly washed just would not do.

Imaginatively called 'muzzies'

Cuski is cute!

My friends twins ones were called lalas. My DH still has a lala for when he is cooking. (For wiping his hands)

My DCs have "loveys"

Jfw82 · 13/06/2019 21:38

Binky here

Shadow1234 · 13/06/2019 21:42

My children always referred to theirs as a blankie.

CakeIsMyFavouriteAndBest · 13/06/2019 21:46

My sister had one (a small blanket) and she always called it Linus after the peanuts character as he always had one. She actually had 2 so 1 could go in the wash but she knew which was which so there was cold linus and warm linus (the softer one)!

TSSDNCOP · 13/06/2019 21:49

cake we called DS’s Linus, but he called it Lie Lie.

My Dn called hers an Omm

hsegfiugseskufh · 13/06/2019 21:51

Ds has "uswin" which is literally just a muslin square and thankfully he is not fussy which one so they get washed (thank the lord!)

Musicalmistress · 13/06/2019 22:18

My DD loved one of her muslin cloths, we called it her ‘coorie’ cloth. (Coorie is a Scots word for a cuddle or a snuggle)

CatsMother66 · 13/06/2019 22:22

If he likes it that much, get another one just in case it gets lost.

Onatreebyariver · 13/06/2019 23:00

Why don’t you call it Cuski? All 4 of my children have had a cushion and we’ve always said “where is cuski?” “Don’t forget cuski” and then ALL FOUR of them have pronounced it DeeDee when they’ve been learning to talk. So then we’d call it DeeDee or cuski Grin aw happy memories.

I miss cuski!

Onatreebyariver · 13/06/2019 23:00

A cushion??! I mean a cuski @heartlanddrive

heartlanddrive · 13/06/2019 23:05

@Onatreebyariver aww that is sweet!! Other people have also said to just call it cuski too so I think we will go with that and just see what it ends up being called once he starts talking!! 😆

We call ours a cuggy

heartlanddrive · 13/06/2019 23:10

@CatsMother66 we thought of this already so have two and have them on rotation so one doesn't look newer than the other! Originally bought two just because I'm far too unorganised to remember to take it out with me so one stays in the nappy bag! Blush

Heartlanddrive when my DS was a baby he adored a jelly cat comforter given to him and took it everywhere. We got spares. Each Christmas he would ask for more from Santa. We explained that they were no longer made but he still asked for them as ‘Santa can make them’. That’s when eBay came in handy! He has adored each and everyone, taken them everywhere, although now they just sleep in his bed. He is up the Comp next year so I’m presuming that he will no longer believe in Santa and ask for anymore. Glad you have more than one as they can easily get lost.

It's snugzy here. He has two, both from birth and gifts, but only one is deemed worthy of being called snugzy. The second one is the back up, emergency one which he'll make do with when snugzy is missing (usually squirrelled away and put in the wash, it's absolutely disgusting the amount of crap that thing gets covered with).

GlamGiraffe · 14/06/2019 12:06

If they still have it when they can speak they choose their own name! If it has a picture/ pattern name it after that or it's colour?
My 17 YEAR old still has his now ripped and understandably mangy cellular crib blanket which he sleeps with at night. He called it his " bye". We joke he'll have it in bed with his wife when ges 40 and married 😂

GlamGiraffe · 14/06/2019 12:09

Niece has a blinky

Slippershoes · 14/06/2019 12:10

Dd called hers her softs. When she got ahold of one she smushed her face into it. Still uses them for toys.

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 14/06/2019 12:16

My (17 year olds) childs comfort blanket, size of a hanky with knotted corners- think it's a kaloo one, is called oowie, rhymes with stewie. Had it since birth and I cant for the life of me remember how it got its name. The stinky rag was my name for it.

IcelandicYoghurt · 14/06/2019 12:19

Mine was a bliggy.

kimlo · 14/06/2019 12:21

which colour is it?

I love a cuski, strange looking things. Dd2 had 10 of them, you need spares.

I would call it baby.

NewFoneWhoDis · 14/06/2019 12:39

Not quite the same but our dressing gowns in this house are called fluffy. "mom, have you seen my fluffy?"
