Yours seem to mirror mine. A few days of bits of blood then it properly starts. Then I have a sudden day of intense bleeding where it fills a pad in an hour or so with intense pain and all manner of symptoms from your op. Sorry tmi. Then it drifts out.

Fluffa · 09/06/2019 10:40

Why is it so horrendous?

It does sound lupus like.

bloody hope it's not lupus. it's came on after the birth of my child and it's mainly hormone or period related

But Dr House says it's never lupus!

Sorry, couldn't resist. I am currently grappling with sore joints, extreme exhaustion and my skin hates sunshine.
Current gp advice - have you tried giving sugar?
Gnarg.
Still, I have been told officially I need to rest for at least an hour in the middle of the day.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 09/06/2019 13:03

Giving UP sugar.

youarenotkiddingme · 09/06/2019 13:04

I also get sore joints before my period. Especially my ankles which I put down to fluid?

Like belter I also don't sleep the night before.

Astrid0208 · 09/06/2019 13:55

I think I read lupus can be triggered by birth. I'm no expert though

Fluffa · 10/06/2019 10:18

So I'm.in full flow bleeding and feel so much better. My clothes fit!

I feel for you.

Before I was on any contraception my periods were painful, made me feel tired, made me tearful and moody, made me spotty, made me near narcoleptic with sleepiness and I felt a general heaviness which was just wearing.

Men do not know how lucky they are!

AhhhHereItGoes · 10/06/2019 10:24

Oh and I have suspected endometriosis/IBS. So the alternating diarrhoea and constipation is quite common anytime.

justilou1 · 10/06/2019 10:26

Have you been tested for coeliac disease? This shit used to happen to me all the time before I was diagnosed. Whiskey was a trigger. So was beer.

MummyParanoia101 · 10/06/2019 10:29

Sounds like Pelvic Inflammatory Disease caused by untreated Chlamydia - Can becomes a medical emergency

JMAngel1 · 10/06/2019 10:39

If you have PCOS, look into DIM supplement - it has transformed my hormone imbalance issues .
Also look at your diet - cut out sugar and dairy completely and consider a keto diet - google oestrogen dominance by Eric Berg on Youtube. You will tick every symptom but you can control it with DIM and diet.

I'm impressed that a GP advised cutting out sugar instead of prescribing something - wish more GPs were like that.

Fluffa · 10/06/2019 10:40

mummyparanoia I've had a full STI screen and fertility investigations so PID is unlikely
