Does it make anyone else want to punch the TV? I know it’s deliberate that he’s being a cockhead mansplainer but it really gets my goat. He does it so well Grin

'Did the Bat Signal go off@DecomposingComposers?'

I don't think so, Boney. You suggested that 'less competent' was made up and not appropriate. I'm pointing out it's inherent in patronising and condescending so not 'made up'.

Anyway, we clearly don't speak the same language so I'll save my energy.

Mansplaining: It's a thing.

If it makes you feel superior than so be it.

The best bit of this thread is people falling over themselves to say mansplaining isn’t a thing Grin

I don't watch tv 😊 haven't a clue what you are on about.

I was watching Friends the other day where Ross is coaching Joey on how to impress Charlie by memorising loads of stuff about the art they were going to see at the Met museum. It made me laugh because whenever I've been in an art gallery there are always men taking it upon themselves to mansplain the art to the women they're with. But it was presented as just a totally normal thing to do... made me realise how men are conditioned by society to think it's their place to "impress" women with their knowledge of everything.
