Mine would be Andrew Gosden, not a week goes by where I don't wonder what happend to him!
What's yours? Bonus points if you include your on theory of what happend!

Coffee

I don’t think I articulated myself well there, agree her mother killed her. I meant by “what really happened” - what really happened to her and how a jury could ever have found her mother not guilty. I don’t know how her defence attorney can sleep at night. (Yes I know it is a job and one they are paid to do to the best of their ability in all cases, but that woman is so clearly guilty)

Also Suzy Lamplugh and Keith Bennett. Madelaine McCann, but also Jill Dando. Watched that 20yr anniversary programme, and think about it a lot more than I did when it actually happened

Ruth Wilson. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Ruth_Wilson

Yy to Ruth Wilson. Near to where I grew up.

The Marconi murders. I can't believe that they were all suicides, and such hideously violent ones at that.

dayswithaY · 28/05/2019 22:34

Asha Degree puzzles me too. Why would a little girl just pack a bag and leave in the night? I'm thinking she was lured away by someone with evil intentions - maybe they used another child to befriend her? Her backpack was found wrapped in plastic and buried. Parents' timeline of events is a little off.

Jonbenet Ramsey - whoever wrote the ransom note either caused or covered up her death. Evidence overwhelmingly points to Patsy, her mother, writing the note.

This sounds odd but so many people seem to vanish into thin air sometimes I wonder if time slips or worm holes are possible where people just disappear. Mary Ferns was an elderly lady who went shopping in Edinburgh and just dropped off the face of the earth, never seen again, vanished on CCTV, no clues.

The Genette Tate case.

MondeoFan · 28/05/2019 22:58

Sarah Wellgreen I think about it most days. Missing since October she has 5 children, ex partner been questioned also current partner and still nothing. Very sad

Katrice Lee, a two-year-old who disappeared from a NAAFI supermarket in Germany whilst shopping with her mum. It's a situation that most parents find themselves in at some point - but thankfully the toddler usually reappears very quickly. In this case, Katrice was never seen again.

Sorry forgot to do clicky link

April Fabb aged 13. Disappeared in April 1969. As it was 50 years ago this year the police put out an appeal for information. She was cycling between two villages in North Norfolk. Her bike was found in a field. Sadly her parents died without knowing what happened or where her body is.
It was local to where I grew up and for someone to simply disappear seemed inconceivable. We roamed near and far without a care or worry in the world, virtually feral until April went missing. I have never forgotten. I think April's disappearance has been linked to that of Generate Tate.

EastMidsGPs · 29/05/2019 18:55

Apologies Genette Tate

IMessedUpToday · 29/05/2019 18:59

The mystery that dare not be named on MN (though I don't think it's that much of a mystery tbh).

IMessedUpToday · 29/05/2019 19:01

@Semperidem

There is a school of thought that Caylee drowned in the pop up pool in the Anthonys back yard, and that Caseys parents (specifically the father) helped to cover it all up.

kaytola · 29/05/2019 19:07

Lee Boxell and Andrew Gosden.

FindaPenny · 31/05/2019 17:13

Same here Kaytola, Lee Boxell and Andrew Gosden. I was 6 at the time Lee Boxell went missing and was aware even at that age of the case and I always remember the pic of him in the blue hoody. Years later I saw his parents on crime watch, I think and they mentioned how they had kept his room the same.... Heartbreaking
I heard there were leads about a church where kids hung out and a creepy paedophile ring that might of operated there.

Andrew Gosden is really sad and confusing. He looks like many gentle, shy boys that you see in the street and to imagine someone might have took advantage of him is a horrible thought.

moonrises · 31/05/2019 17:41

Patrick Warren and David Spencer, disappeared Boxing Day 1996. They were then known as the 'milk bottle boys' I recently read an article about it and it seems that there was a massive police blunder.

Again closure for the family.

A family member had had some involvement with the boys hence it being one that I remember.

AG’a disappearance has many similarities to a relative of mine who sadly took his life.

He too was ‘gifted’ and had attended summer school to prepare for college.

He had a routine that he always stuck to but in the lead up to his death he changed odd things like walking home and sold some of his belongings.

On the day of his death he left cash but emptied his bank account (turned out this was because he thought his parents wouldn’t be able to access his account after his death). He then went to a different city and committed suicide.

You’d have never guessed that he had those plans had you spoken to him in the weeks prior. It’s very sad but I’ve always thought AG took the same path.

PumpkinPieAlibi · 31/05/2019 18:24

MH 370 and the Mary Celeste are two great ones.

I'd like to know what happened to the Roanoke colony and the Dyatlov Pass team who died.
