Posted a thread of what were treats growing up to you, and it was a really nice thread, got me thinking what foods now can't you buy that you used to love? Here are some of mine..

I’d forgotten about Horlicks tablets!

Used to love them.

Oh and safe way used to do these big chocolate chip cookies in the bakery. They were soft and chewy and my mum used to get me one every Saturday when she went shopping. The best.

Honeycomb Yorkie bars in the gold packaging! Yum.

Secret chocolate bars. Loved them.

Oh and marble chocolate bars!!

Worcester sauce twiglets made a random comeback a few years ago. I stocked up on a bajillion packets, lasted about two weeks.

Also thank you to the pps who said about Phileas Fogg mignons morceaux. Dh thinks I'm mad talking about "the hard bread biscuity crisps" my parents had when I was a child that were fancy.

Bloody loved Zzaps. They were toffee flavour I think you can get them from the off ice cream van.

@Guerlainista there's a new spudulike at Bluewater shopping Centre.

Asda used to sell these casseroles in the chilled section, it included lamb, pork and two different types of chicken. The lamb one was my favourite. Also the sausage and onion plait from Asda.

I miss mingles, turkey twizzlers and the original Sunny D (florida orange). Also BN biscuits, they got brought back a few years ago but they've disappeared again 😭

Forgot about prawn cocktail quavers/wotsits. Also orange ribena was lovely, as was the apple flavour.

Burton Potato puffs, the beef flavour.
They were lovely and I think 2p or maybe 5p in the tuck shop at school.

Walls sausage balls - lived on these as a fussy child and the fact that they’ve gone is a travesty.

Tesco two or three years ago made strawberry flapjack bars which were like two thick flapjacks sandwiches together by a line of thick jam in between each squidgy flapjack - oh they were heavenly! But they were discontinued. I mourn them massively.

Milk chews, like fruitellas but milky - so nice, found them in my local corner store as a one off then gone!

Muller corner did a limited edition yoghurt which was like crystallised pieces of almond and vanilla yoghurt in a green packet - gone. Was so luxurious.

Onken! Onken made a LUSH Greek yoghurt that was ‘set’ so not runny and there was no residue on top - it was basically like eating cream it was so thick and sweet, but it wasn’t that calorie heavy — it was my breakfast when I was healthy eating for a solid four months and they’ve just totally disappeared! They still do a Greek yoghurt but it’s not ‘set’ so it’s runny, watery and sour. I miss it so much!
