Kids ordering Uber eats to school...

Do your DC do this?!

We’ve had another email from the school reminding us that Dc are not allowed to order food to the school. DD says it’s unenforceable because there is a main road which runs along the school field and the kids order it to the fence!

She says loads of them do order McD etc but quite a few get deliveries from the local sandwich shop/deli or subway

There was a warning about this in the latest secondary newsletter the other week.

Maybe if secondary schools had a decent lunch break (not 40 mins for 1000+ pupils Hmm) there would be time for all of them to queue up then sit down and eat.

Agree, at DD's school their lunch break is 40 minutes and the canteen only seats 2/3 of the pupils. There is another seating area outside for the other third. Which would be great were we living in a sunny country and not the unpredictable North West of England!

Also, DD said that you spend 20 minutes queuing to get to the food and they've usually run out of the main course and have just veggies or chips left.

Luckily we live near a few shops so she picks up a meal deal every morning. Not great, but she refuses to take sandwiches from home and school isn't exactly a healthy option. A meal deal is marginally healthier than McDs I suppose!

When I was in academy - 20 years ago - we rarely ate in the school cafeteria. We were practically in the town centre so would have McDs, pizza, pub grub, bakers or the shop which would make your pot noodles and sell fags to under 16s!

Thinkinghappythoughts - they genuinely didn't have issues so there was no need. They were pretty hot on other stuff, just for whatever reasons mobiles didn't cause them a particular issue during the time she was there.
