What is your idea of 'bliss'?

Mine is walking in the woods in autumn with family. Also watching reality tv whilst eating (too many)custard creams and a cup of tea.

Having a long, hot shower with only a low light on. Can be there for over half an hour. Then reducing the temp slowly to coolish. Love, love, love it.

On some Saturday afternoons DP and I make a "reading nest" out of duvets, and only surface to make cups of tea.

Sex!
Being in the moment with my kids. Lying next to my youngest after bedtime story as she drifts off.
Sitting in the evening sun abroad, sipping wine with DH.
A good meal and wine after a really hard workout.
Perfecting a martial arts technique
Being on a night out when everyone is happy and the laughter is high.
A great film or TV series that you can disappear down analysis rabbit holes online.
A good book, always.

This week I have been adoring lying on my swing seat in the garden either listening to music, watching movies, YouTube vids or listening to guided meditation. The sun is glorious and I feel great. I’m currently off sick but coming to the end of it and this has done me the world of good.

Living near quiet neighbours so I can sit outside with a cup of tea and cat and doze rather than hide inside to get away from the screaming, screeching, yelling, radios and thudding of balls.

Being abroad in a posh restaurant with great food and tonnes of wine with my 3 female closest friends.

When a cat chooses your lap to come and sit on.
Ahh to be the chosen one! A rare treat!

My furry bastards have ruined that for me by being OBSESSED with cuddles. The smaller one even follows you around the house shouting at you until you sit down.

On my own in the house, having a mid afternoon nap! No one to disturb me.

Plenty of booze (but not in a trashy Brit in Magaluf kind of way)
All day on the beach
Plenty of snoozing
Plenty of sex (with OH)
Interspersed with a few warm sea swims
With all you can eat inclusive food so I don't have to do cooking or washing up.

Literal bliss.

A weekend away with my best friends, going dancing and having a proper laugh.
Hanging out with my 13yr old, who is the best company ever, eating cheese and watching 80s films.

Walking in silence in the Lakes with my partner, only speaking to be excited at a nice view or lovely mushroom. Pint of real ale and putting world to rights. Curled up like a pretzel with him, especially if reading, in floofy hotel sheets. The super calm feeling when you mistakenly wake at 4am and the birds are chirping and you know you can sleep for three more hours.

When my boys sneak into my bed and when I wake I get to see them sleeping and at rest and comfortable and safe, as day breaks and I can adjust the duvet and hug them.

Morning routine when I know they're out the door clean fed and dressed, hair brushed. Off on the right foot. Day can go downhill from there and frequently will but we start hopeful.

Sitting in the garden, house spotless, G and T and a bag of crisps, dog asleep nearby.

A long boozy late lunch by the sea, involving seafood, Greek salad and loads of very good food white wine

My head emptying of worries and thoughts. Watching the sea. Watching a child sleeping.

Great food and wine in a nice restaurant with DH.
Walking in the mountains or anywhere in the great outdoors when the air is still relatively cool and fresh, particularly at the beginning of what is going to be a beautiful clear day.

Sitting on the sofa with a teen on each side of me leaning in for cuddles. Doesn’t happen that often these days.
Snuggling down in a newly made bed with sheets straight off the line outside. The smell is gorgeous.
Time alone in the house to read and drink coffee without constant noise from the tv, phones, iPads, computer games,radio, Alexa etc

Next to the reservoir with all the kids and DH with a packed lunch and some wine in the sun. Or even at the beach doing the same. With lots of ball games and silly questions.

Also, my bed, starfishing, knowing that there is not going to be an early wake up call from a child or for work.

Oh OP why did you ask this? I want to be doing it now!!
