.....who would you like it to be? I’m currently favouring the Mount Olympus lot because all of the totally selfish, quarrelsome, touchy behaviour goes some way to explaining the state of the world. And there were some pretty cool women. The rapeyness is a bit of an issue- but maybe a Training Day would sort that out?

I agree about agnosticism technically being the only logical position- even Richard Dawkins calls himself an agnostic. But I find that it often means theists think there’s a possibility that if they explain their faith again I”ll be convinced. When really, it would take some serious new evidence for me to change my mind. So I call myself an atheist. It saves time.

Well if we're allowed those gods then I'm partial to The Lady. And Offler because of his lisp. He favours teetotalism though so that's a bummer.

And of course Anoia - Goddess of Things That Get Stuck in Drawers, a minor goddess on the Discworld. When someone rattles a drawer and cries "How can it close on the damned thing but not open with it? Who bought this? Do we ever use it?", even though the person might be genuinely irritated or even exasperated, it is as praise unto Anoia. Faithful Anoians (worshippers of Anoia) purposefully rattle their drawers and complain every day. Anoia also finds objects that roll under other objects and things stuck in sofa cushions, and is considering handling stuck zippers. She eats corkscrews.

Would be pretty amazing if Lilith (worshipped as a goddess by various pagan off-shoots! So she definitely counts on this thread!) could appear in real life.
