Do you have carpet? Tiles? Vinyl?

We have LVT. Same flooring throughout all of the downstairs, apart from the living room which has carpet.

KipperTheFrog · 12/05/2019 07:14

Wood flooring through hallway and kitchen/diner.

Magmatic80 · 12/05/2019 07:19

Stone tiles and I’m not a fan. Can’t get them clean

Shadowboy · 12/05/2019 07:23

We have travertine - it’s beautiful but not very giving!

DianaBlythe · 12/05/2019 07:26

Wood and then a rug in the loungey part.

Pascha · 12/05/2019 07:30

Good quality vinyl. We wanted wood but there was no budget left for it so we got a good quality, thick vinyl instead and it's been brilliant.

UncomfortableSilence · 12/05/2019 07:40

We have the same wood from the front door right through to our kitchen/diner/lounge. We have another lounge area that is completely separate that has carpet.

Mumofboys1 · 12/05/2019 07:51

We have tiles, from hallway through to kitchen/diner

Works for us :)

freshasthebrightbluesky · 12/05/2019 07:51

We have a really old, fugly carpet in the dining room bit and this sparkly flooring stuff that's hard-wearing but very rough (socks and slippers don't last 5 minutes because of it) in the kitchen, side door entrance area and downstairs loo.

We didn't choose either - it was there when we moved in 6 years ago and we can't afford to change it!

Jemma2907 · 12/05/2019 07:52

We have laminate that spreads through to the hallway and front door.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/05/2019 07:53

Polished porcelain tiles from utility, kitchen, diner, hall, cloakroom. Tiled skirting in utility and cloakroom in case of floods.

Love them.

PeonyTruffle · 12/05/2019 07:54

Tiles...

And I hate them, inherited with the house but can't wait to get rid, we have a big rug in the diner part to make it more cosy.

Would swap for vinyl or laminate

BroomstickOfLove · 12/05/2019 07:54

Bamboo.

AppleKatie · 12/05/2019 08:02

Wood flooring. It’s the best!

AndOutComeTheBoobs · 12/05/2019 08:03

A rug good idea

We have laminate, easier to clean under the table and in the kitchen

IamChipmunk · 12/05/2019 09:25

We have wood looking laminate in kitchen/diner/family bit and into utility. Its a new build and the show house had tiles. Looked nice but a bit cold looking and feeling. Laminate is also a bit quieter although our dogs claws clack on it!

mindutopia · 12/05/2019 09:29

Tiles. We used to have carpet (in a separate dining room, previous house) and it was awful. Non carpeted flooring is the way to go.

SpreadsheetQueen · 12/05/2019 09:31

Laminate, had tiles in the kitchen for years and they were so unforgiving, everything dropped broke and a couple of the heavier things also damaged the tiles. Love the laminate, warmer, more forgiving, less slippery. It wasn't the cheapest, but the texture goes with the pattern, so it looks a lot better than the type where the grain looks like random holes.

megletthesecond · 12/05/2019 09:33

Wood effect vinyl.

CountFosco · 12/05/2019 09:34

Wood.

Lindtnotlint · 12/05/2019 09:35

Porcelain tiles with underfloor heating. LOVE.

museumum · 12/05/2019 09:36

We have planks that went down like laminate but look like tiles. It’s warmer than actual tiles but very easy to clean.

Langrish · 12/05/2019 09:37

The original (1905) wooden boards. Brilliant in a kitchen.
