Norway. I adore it.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 13/05/2019 18:43

Kalami Bay in Corfu. Went last year and fell in love with the place. So beautiful and quiet. Going back again in two weeks and can't wait.

Another vote for Scarborough

South Africa! The animals, the food, the beaches, the scenery. I often hear people say they are too scared to go because of crime. I truly believe if there wasn't that fear it would be one of the most visited countries in the world.

Depends what for:
Weekend away with the kids - arran great beach’s, woods to explore, good trail running for me and road biking for him.
Epic main holiday - Swiss alps, generally out of season ski resort, kids club, pool, hiking, running and cycling. We had a epic trip to braunwald last year.
Pre kids - multi week hiking holiday in the Himalayas.

Whoops apologies for the double post. I have no opinion on the sausage shop of Cromer, but should you be on holiday in Edinburgh the best sausage shop there is Crombies...

NameChangeNugget · 13/05/2019 19:35

Sydney.

Hiddenaspie1973 · 13/05/2019 19:36

I loved Madeira.

SJane48S · 13/05/2019 19:47

Italy all over. I’m from Norfolk, try Cromer on a wet & windy day in winter!!

Mari50 · 13/05/2019 20:16

Margaret river in WA, absolutely love the place.

Lardlizard · 14/05/2019 09:06

Anywhere with sandy beach that’s hot

RottnestFerry · 14/05/2019 09:11

Anywhere I haven't been before, I like seeing new places if possible.

Have you been to Cromer? I hear it's nice.

Thertruthisoutwhere · 14/05/2019 10:31

South Africa ... mountains, beaches, wildlife, weather

KinkyHair · 14/05/2019 12:55

Cromer. I’ve been many times and you can’t beat it.

lisalocketlostherpocket · 14/05/2019 13:48

Best holidays I've had have been in Jersey. Weather is generally decent, it's very relaxing, lots to do and nice places to eat.

Scotland comes close when the weather is good.

Husband would say Italy.

Interested by the description of Cornwall having world class facilities. For example? The beaches are well known to be good if you like beaches and there are some expensive hotels and restaurants but generally speaking? I'd have thought that Scotland had better tourist facilities.

redhotchill · 14/05/2019 14:03

Corsica

GlamGiraffe · 14/05/2019 14:12

Cuba was truly amazing. A week on Havana was incredible. Couple it with a stay on a quiet carribean coast. Fabulous.

BoogleMcGroogle · 14/05/2019 14:38

Oh yes, definitely Cromer. Beyond a shadow of a doubt Cromer. Or maybe not.....

Although champagne in Brancaster dunes in the sunshine is a pretty tolerable holiday activity.

I'm from North Norfolk. Can't wait to share the big news on Cromer with my mum 😆

SecretWitch · 14/05/2019 14:48

Mendocino, California. Beautiful and somehow dreamy
Yellowstone Park, Wyoming. Animals and amazing scenery

pineapplepatty · 14/05/2019 14:59

Are you from the Norfolk tourist board, OP?

SJane48S · 14/05/2019 15:27

Jesus is the Cromer tourist board using all its marketing budget on Mumsnet?! What about the joys of Sheringham? Or going upmarket & splurging on Blakeney?!

wheresmymojo · 14/05/2019 15:41

Cromer....

Not really Grin

Belize....beautiful islands with a laid back Caribbean type vibe (hammocks, rum cocktails, Bob Marley). Best sea life I've ever seen (better than Egypt, Thailand, Mexico).

Then the mainland is more traditional Central American....Mayan ruins, more awesome wildlife, etc.
