What's everyone up to today?

lucysmam · 28/04/2019 08:46

I'm just drinking my cup of tea, the girls are still sleeping.

Plans for today are to nip to town to exchange a top that doesn't sit right, Lidl for a few bits for pack-ups, bake with dd2 because I didn't yesterday, shove the hoover round upstairs, and cook a roast later on.

I want to clean the bathroom too but will do that as I get out of the shower.

I'll check homework's all done as we pack school bags for tomorrow, this evening.

What about you lot? :)

I had a lovely bacon price and coffee about an hour ago.
Going to hang the washing out and take the dog a big long walk and then we are taking the kids to see avengers end game and out for dinner when DP wakes up (Nightshift)

sundaybluecoffee · 28/04/2019 10:39

Nothing so far Sad DP is working (from home), dogs asleep, I'm in bed with a coffee and just had some breakfast.

I wish my life was more exciting! I can't even drive so it's hard to get anywhere without my DPGrin

In an ideal world we would be up in London today watching the marathon or at the zoo or a theme park. I can dream.

AllGoodDogs · 28/04/2019 10:46

Just back from walking the dog with 6 yo. Taking my 10yo and my nephew to the cinema to see Endgame this afternoon. I'm so excited to see it but hoping they manage the 3 hr film plus trailers without too much drama. I have drinks and sweets a plenty so fingers crossed!!

Drogosnextwife · 28/04/2019 10:52

Oh god is it 3 hours! I never checked the time, don't think either of the kids will sit through that 😂

Natsku · 28/04/2019 10:52

At the moment I'm waiting for the baby to wake up from his nap so I can feed him lunch before we have to go out.

Today DD is doing her Circus show so we're going to go out for ice cream first, then off to watch her show (which is apparently 3 hours long... I do not foresee the baby happily watching quietly that long, urgh)

troppibambini · 28/04/2019 10:55

Not a lot at the mo, I've just got up and having a coffee.
Dh has taken the three youngest to a play centre to meet his dad.
Eldest dd is still in bed the poor thing had to do D of E all Friday, overnight and Saturday she was exhausted when she got home yesterday and very wet and cold the mercifully cut the second hike short by 4km on the Saturday as they were all really strugglingSad
When she gets up I'm taking her shopping to get some summer stuff for our holiday in May and the dd2 has a party at 4.
Need to do washing and sort uniforms.
Dinner will be something quick tonight as everyone is in and out. I will do a roast tomorrow instead.

I’ve gone for a beautiful run
Then hour yoga class with friend
Came home and changed children’s beds and did some laundry
Now having coffee and watching last half hour of film I started last night
Then shower and get ready as out for birthday lunch with friend
Then back in time for ex dropping back children at 4
Chill with them, dinner, showers, bed.

Lovely

Decormad38 · 28/04/2019 11:01

Just been food shopping and now chilling with a coffee. We had full day out at movies and meal yesterday so quiet day. DH back to school tomorrow so he’s prepping for that. DD 13 babysat lastnight for neighbours so she’s tired. I might have a sneaky watch of line of duty.

Cobblersandhogwash · 28/04/2019 11:03

Ds3 (aged 6) been up half the night vomiting. He's being very clingy understandably.

Dd is furious we can't go into London for the day.......

tessiegirl · 28/04/2019 11:04

Watched tv snuggled up in bed with dd first thing as dh had got up early to work on the allotment
Got up, had bacon for breakfast.
Dh back and now painting with dd while I'm working out present ideas for my mum's birthday this week.
I think we will all go up to the allotment this afternoon to plant seeds. Cats will also follow us up, they love it!! Grin

Susiesue61 · 28/04/2019 11:10

DS1 is playing his last ever youth football game this morning so DH has gine with him.
DD's cricket was called off last night so she's playing football this afternoon instead 😆
DS2 still in bed.
I need to get up and make a casserole for tea before I take DD

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 28/04/2019 11:20

Hungover as dh and I went for a meal and got v drunk, off to a fish and chip restaurant later which should cure it.Nothing else planned.

GMtoBe · 28/04/2019 11:24

Dd is on day 4 of chickenpox and is currently asleep on me after another night of being mostly awake. She wouldn't even let me use the toilet this morning without sitting on my lap so I think I will be spending the day underneath a chickenpoxy toddler.

AllGoodDogs · 28/04/2019 11:28

@Drogosnextwife good luck to you!! How old are the kids you're taking? My eldest was 9 when we saw Infinity War which was 2.5 hrs and managed pretty well. Luckily he has the bladder of a camel so I don't need to limit his drinks Grin

CoodleMoodle · 28/04/2019 11:28

Currently trying to get the 9mo to have a bit longer for his nap. He's a grumpy guts at the moment and it's because he's waking earlier than normal. Ugh.

After lunch I'm taking DD(5) shopping to get her a new party dress for the weekend. Also got to get DS a shirt. She's currently playing Minecraft with DH (I was playing with her earlier when he was in the shower, but it wasn't easy with DS climbing on me) and I imagine prising her off is going to be interesting! She likes going shopping so maybe it'll be okay...

Pinkarsedfly · 28/04/2019 11:31

Was up at 7 moving fixtures and fittings out of our shop which we’ve just closed down.

Came home and made a cooked breakfast.

Got back into bed and am currently watching the London Marathon - and I’ve just entered the ballot for 2020 Shock

When my breakfast digests I’ll go for a run.

BoundByBriars · 28/04/2019 11:31

I’m still in bed with the cat too. It’s a heavenly treat I don’t often get (get about one lie-in a year and never this late!) but I was up until 3.30 this morning waiting for the aforementioned cat to come home.

If I can manage to slither out of bed I will:

  • go for a long walk
  • shower and clean bathroom
  • clean the kitchen and sort recycling
  • sort out uniform
  • encourage instrument practise
  • play with the kid
  • pop to in to town to pick up a book the kid ordered
  • cook a roast dinner
  • bedtime
  • watch a film
barbiegrl · 28/04/2019 11:37

Drogosnextwife · 28/04/2019 11:40

@AllGoodDogs

10 and 5. The five year old isn't great at the cinema at the best of times haha. May need to change plans for the day haha.

princessspotify · 28/04/2019 11:59

not a lot. I've slept in an awkward position and my back is really aching. weather not great either (suffolk) and DC have misbehaved and have had PS4 taken away.
I need to finish washing and ironing. Dh is making lasagne for tea with salad and garlic bread

ASauvignonADay · 28/04/2019 12:05

Yes and brunch in bed. Watching Sunday Brunch. Off to the shops and post office in a little bit. Doing some work ahead of work tomorrow.

bordellosboheme · 28/04/2019 12:12

Kids out with their dad so have loaded the dishwasher, cleaned out the fridge and dried a load of laundry. Tempted to carry on tidying up upstairs, but the sun has come out so I think a dog walk is needed.

scratchyfluffface · 28/04/2019 12:35

I seem to have buggered my knee and can feel I am coming down with something, the kids are at their dads so I am going to have a rare day chilling in bed/on the sofa with a book, in the hope that it means next week isn't too dreadful!!

Camomila · 28/04/2019 12:46

DH is in charge of DS 3 today. So far they've been to church and to Asda. They'll probably play at home in the afternoon.

I'm at my parents house working on uni assignments in my DFs home office with a PC rather than my little laptop. I imagine I'll be working till late so DH will drop DS off to me at bed time and we'll sleep over. Might even get a lift to work tomorrow!

Blueberryblueberry · 28/04/2019 13:07

I'm poorly with some sort of virus so feeling very sorry for myself. Husband had left the house with his laptop to get some work done in a cafe, I've played various games with the DC, ds completed a big puzzle by himself and was very proud. They then made a bloody mess and I may have shouted a little unreasonably... I've eaten a toastie for lunch and now think I was hangry. Off to apologize, a maybe cuddle up and watch a bit of telly and maybe Lego before parents pop over to tea and cake later this afternoon. Then I have literally about 3 week's work of ironing to get through, including all the uniforms. May do that with DH whilst watching a film later. There will also be sporadic eating of Easter egg throughout the day Grin XXX
