I even appreciate that some people feel the need to be superior Grin

Top piece of advice- if they are going for Chardonnay they should pop down to the 7-11 and check the spelling on a bottle before registering the birth of the baby

Then there's the worry about the pronunciation:

Why do you care? It isn't in direct line to throne so not really important.

That’s exactly what I said about the birth of my dniece. I just don’t get the interest.

I dunno? Why do some people care about cf neighbours, parking problems, mil problems, house buying problems, how many sexual partners, baby name choices complete strangers have on the internet?

If nobody cared about anything beyond their own life, there would be no chat forums.... or social media in general!

I’m also bemused at posters who take the time out to come onto a thread simply to be condescending to others. They must be busy because mumsnet is full of threads you could theoretically say the same about.

I must have missed the list of high brow topics we must only ever discuss Grin

Honestly I'd only care if we got a bank holiday from the birth, it's just another baby to me. I do wish her a safe delivery however.

Actually, I DO have a couple of things I should be doing. It's just that they are way less interesting than this. That's how much of a life I don't have!

@BossAssBitch I'd say it's more that they are bemused that some people find stranger's lives so exciting, it makes me think those people can't have much of a life to be honest. I can't get my head around it either confused I'm far too wrapped up in my own life to give much thought to a couple I have never met and likely never will.

Your comment made me chuckle. You are reading and commenting on MN AIBU which is LITERALLY just nosing into the lives of people you've never met. So it's no good claiming you're too busy and important for all this Wink

I'm quite interested but there was no link to where OP got her information which annoys me. First thing I did was check twitter and there was nothing there.

God the condescending 'get a life' comments on here do my head in. Hmm

Literally rolling my eyes at the people coming on here to say they don't care about the Royal baby, like it makes them a cut above, and a better person, because they don't care about the new Royal baby. (They care enough to post on a thread about the Royals though LOL!)

Saying people have no life if they are 'fawning' over the Royals. How ironic. You must have no life if you have to spit venom on a message forum to bash people who are excited about the new Royal baby. So YOU get a life. Hmm

I read the same news as you @val4

Why are people being so rude?

Because they get a wee kick out of it. They enjoy it.

Giving out a lot of wrong messages if they are calling an ambulance to take a pregnant woman to hospital. Bad enough when the big white maternity taxi is used by us plebs, but when you have a fleet of huge motors and a police escort it's unacceptable, unless something was seriously wrong of course.

@WithAllIntenseAndPurposes
Because 'speculating' is just pathetic
I don't see how people have so little to concern themselves with that they have the headspace to speculate over something that may or may not be happening right now

Bit like Brexit do you mean? or is that speculation ok?
