...I've never heard of 420/4:20 in relation to cannabis culture .

I'm 51, have mixed with all sorts, shared student houses with some right stoners, have even smoked the stuff myself (many years ago) yet have never heard of "four twenty" until this week.

Anyone else found that something like this has completely passed them by?

It's something to do with a police code in America when people are smoking weed. 'We have a 420, repeat a CODE 420', I'm sure it's to do with that.

Oh I just googled it, the police code is an urban myth so that's not true🤔

I've never heard of it but I live in the Netherlands. Everyone just smokes whenever and wherever they want. (small town, arse end of nowhere)

420 refers to marijuana smoking, so "420 friendly" means that the person posting the profile either smokes pot or is open to dating someone that uses marijuana.

It's quite big here but I'm in a legal state. Rooms to let ads will say "420 friendly" to indicate the other residents are ok with you smoking pot.
