If someone put £200 cash in your hand right now what would you spend it on?

Has to be spent on you and not other people, bills etc.

A new freezer (put it towards a new freezer)

mummyhaschangedhername · 23/04/2019 12:16

My kitchen sink probably, I'm mid way doing my kitchen and the budget has more than quadrupled since we started 🙈 what was meant to be a facelift has ended in a full out wall down, doors bricked up, new windows job and I'm panicking the money will run it soon 🙈 worktops, tiles, sick and tap still to get 😱

AuntieStella · 23/04/2019 12:20

Several race entries and a haircut.

(Though I'd probably find a way to pay the race entries anyhow)

Dental sedation

SrSteveOskowski · 23/04/2019 13:36

The Dyson hair dryer, but I'd still have to put a few quid towards it.

NerdyBird · 23/04/2019 17:33

I could then justify the other £300.Grin

whitehalleve · 23/04/2019 18:46

New sunglasses

MrsPear · 23/04/2019 18:58

A haircut and colour. Eyebrows threaded. Proper trainer socks - bought some from m and s and they are cut far too high.

NorthernRunner · 23/04/2019 18:59

A new pair of trainers and a large satchel bag that can fit more than my purse and keys.

Rainbowknickers · 23/04/2019 21:21

I’d buy my fella a new wardrobe-he has clothes that are 20 years old and he hates buying new stuff

DulciUke · 23/04/2019 21:29

Not responsible: Another ukulele or a weekend dulcimer festival

Responsible: Some new summer clothes for work since I put on a few pounds over the winter.

ILoveAnOwl · 23/04/2019 21:57

This actually happened to us earlier in the year. Someone put £200 through the door with an anonymous note saying we were to spend it on treats for our family. We were going on holiday the next week but were so skint (accommodation had been traded for services rendered) we were considering cancelling. It made our week away so much nicer!

BadLad · 24/04/2019 01:19

100 on lobsters from my local fishmonger and sancerre.

100 on a delicious brandy.

64sNewName · 25/04/2019 21:25

Haircut. New bras/pants.

Sushi.

64sNewName · 25/04/2019 21:26

@ILoveAnOwl how kind of that person! Do you not have any idea who it was?

I’d be a bit self-conscious but also really quite moved if that happened.

countdowntonap · 25/04/2019 21:34

Carbon 38 gym kit.

lucysmam · 25/04/2019 22:02

I read the thread title as £100, not £200 until a pp mentioned it was £200.

I was going to say I'd have my hair cut and coloured properly instead of a quick £5 dry cut and eyeing up the box-dyes but not quite having the balls to go for it.

With £200, I could do that, and buy some more new clothes. I blew (a carefully budgeted for) £100 on myself and the girls yesterday in town on new clothes, and it feels good not to be wearing years old & knackered clothes :)

Derpess · 26/04/2019 01:01

Sweaty Betty rucksack, new clothes, wine

englishdictionary · 26/04/2019 01:07

David Bowie Vans, And with £200 I could get 2 pairs! Which 2 I don't know, it would be such a hard choice.

GlamGiraffe · 26/04/2019 01:36

My first thought was my sons 17th birthday present but then I saw that wasn't allowed.
So.osteopathy for my wrecked back and hair colour.
