I used to spend the whole summer holidays with my gran at my great aunt’s house at Scarborough. There was a shop called Proudfoots just down the road and I loved buying colouring pens from there. I must have been about 7/8/9. Loved those summers.🙂

If anyone lived in Bristol - Dawson's toy shop, I bought Pippa dolls from there, Clifton Book shop for Malory towers, Marsh's for school uniform and Stoke Lane post office for a quarter of sherbet lemons. Woolworth's was for Christmas presents for the extended family.

@froomeonthebroom Pratleys, yes! I was u see strict orders from my mum not to touch anything and to keep my elbows in! 😂

@froomeonthebroom That should read 'under strict orders'.

Also remember Viking Burgers? 😊

Toysrus, Blockbuster, and Boots when they had a big Natural Collection range and there used to be a bath or shower gel product that smelt of strawberry milkshake.

I also used to love Olympus Sport

@elephant I remember Clifton Bookshop

I particularly remember, aged about 6, finding a book there about where babies come from. It included a cartoon cross section of a couple mid shag, but I was quite certain that the book was wrong because people wouldn't really put part of their body in someone else Grin

I don't remember the others, however. Dawsons was possibly before my time?

clevs yes, isn't it Greggs now?

There were a couple of shops along Crown Passage too, they sold hippy stuff and ornaments. And Habitat was down there as well.
