Is this actually a thing?! Fish fingers in bread?

FuckASilverLining · 11/04/2019 22:07
  1. Cut down middle with 2 on each half. Mayo and tomato sauce.
MollyYouInDangerGirl · 11/04/2019 22:08

4 if not 5, buttered bread, ketchup 😝

DieCryHate · 11/04/2019 22:08

Four, with sweet chilli sauce for dipping purposes.

Stravapalava · 11/04/2019 22:10

Depends what kind of bread it is tbh.

Normal kingsmill 800g loaf type bread - 4.
Bap - 2, maybe 3 depending on size of bap.
Tiger / sourdough type shape - 3, but I prefer not to use this kind of bread as there are massive gaps at the sides with no fish finger!
Wrap - 2, end to end with a load of lettuce and mayo.

I never use tartare sauce on bread, only ketchup or mayo.

iklboo · 11/04/2019 22:13

Three. With half a gallon of vinegar and a ton of salt.

RobertSmithdoesmyhair · 11/04/2019 22:15
  1. With brown sauce, not ketchup!
RabbitseatDogs · 11/04/2019 22:23

Am I the only one who thinks 2? One in each half of cut down the middle. How can you have 3? Where would you cut the sandwich in half.
Butter and mayo.
Just realised I'm now very hungry.

Falafel19 · 11/04/2019 22:24

3, in a burger bun, with salad cream Smile

Gingerkittykat · 11/04/2019 22:28

4, Birds Eye crispy coated being the only acceptable fish finger. Pappy white warbutons bread, tartare sauce, butter, salad.

I can't believe people cut their fish fingers in half for a sandwich!

Banhaha · 11/04/2019 22:33

3 + mayo underneath and ketchup on top

teyem · 11/04/2019 22:35

Four, slightly squishing them into one another with the back of a fork, then lots of salt and vinegar.

  1. Why would you use an odd number of fish fingers! Surely when you cut it in half you’ll be cutting down the middle of a fish finger?! The way to do it is 4 fingers then you cut between the middle two.
MrsJBaptiste · 11/04/2019 22:47

I'd have 4 (with 2 slices of bread, crusts off)
DH has 8 (with 4 slices of thick bread)

ShesABelter · 11/04/2019 22:48

4

LazyLizzy · 11/04/2019 22:49

Doesn't matter about the fit/ratio of how many.

They get mashed up in a bowl with tommy sauce, then spread on a white doorstop.

CherryPavlova · 11/04/2019 22:49

Four with pickled beetroot.

moofolk · 11/04/2019 22:56

4 and tartare sauce.

Vinotinto78 · 11/04/2019 23:04

Four is the regulation number. With an extra finger chaser on the side. Tartare and ketchup if you please.

GroundhogWeek · 12/04/2019 03:37

4 - white bread with butter, mayo, cheese and sweet chilli sauce.

GroundhogWeek · 12/04/2019 03:39

And ideally the battered ones, far superior to breadcrumbs

cantfindname · 12/04/2019 06:51

Zero. Don't know why but the idea of fish fingers in a sandwich makes me gag. Yet I do like fish fingers... Odd.

90percentvodka10percenthuman · 12/04/2019 06:58

I can recommend Lidl’s ‘luxury’ chunky fish fingers. They are stunning in a sandwich.

longwayoff · 12/04/2019 06:58

COD fish fingers, please, 3, with tartare for preference or mayo and ketchup mixed together. None of the dodgy generic 'white' fish though. Taste horrible to me.
