Which would you choose? And why?

First one.

Second two have visible branding which I don’t like and I just don’t like the look of them especially the third one.

NotAnotherNameChange99 · 11/04/2019 15:13

#2 because they're rectangular and flat. But I would store them with my bread boards in this Ikea expandable holder

middle one, just easier to grab and plenty of room on them

To be honest, I prefer wooden hopping boards

But of the three you’ve posted, not the first one. White / cream coloured plastic will go a horrid orangey colour and Stain the first time you chop peppers or tomatoes

DiscoZebra · 11/04/2019 15:14

First ones - I like the colours better! They seem slightly more... sedate.

Apoiads · 11/04/2019 15:14

Middle one. Handy handles.

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 11/04/2019 15:16

Middle

kaytee87 · 11/04/2019 15:17

None of them. I prefer wooden ones, they last much longer and are more hygienic.

UCOinanOCG · 11/04/2019 15:18

I have ones sort of like the middle ones but with smaller handles. I use them constantly. I also have large ones for lots of chopping but the little ones are very handy. I would need 1 and 2!

beenhereages1 · 11/04/2019 15:20

I was eyeing up number 1 yesterday in John Lewis!

UCOinanOCG · 11/04/2019 15:20

These are mine.

I gave up on plastic ones. I have one Jospeh Joseph one for carving on, but other than that I use wooden and replace every couple of years.

I am dead impressed with that Ikea expandable rack. That would make a lot more sense in keeping them neat.

CherryBlossom23 · 11/04/2019 15:24

I have the first ones and love them! Really easy to store and clean, really durable and the tapered end means my all veg always go into the saucepan, skins into bin and not the floor Blush

Leeds2 · 11/04/2019 16:28

I prefer the look of the first one.

BlueMerchant · 11/04/2019 16:31

Middle. Like the handles. Large flat space.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 11/04/2019 16:38

None of them. I abhor plastic chopping boards. Get a decent wooden one instead, it'll be more more attractive and hygienic than any of those.

Jencottage · 11/04/2019 16:47

I'd go for middle. I've got the Joseph one though like a prev poster, only bigger. Chopping boards always end up scratches etc so I prefer mines hidden in the Joseph thingy than exposed

DaftQuery · 11/04/2019 17:02

Middle. Foldable ones are bloody annoying and I'd want something that stacks flat.

EnidButton · 11/04/2019 17:06

I like the look of the first but the curved but would get in the way of chopping so you'd only be able to use one end.

So I'd pick the second ones for practicality.

No where near as aesthetically pleasing but I have coloured thin plastic sheet chopping boards from Lakeland that are brilliant. www.lakeland.co.uk/13593/Colour-Coded-Fleximats Really easy to store, clean well and fold for carrying bits to the bin.

midsomermurderess · 11/04/2019 17:45

Get a decent, big wooden chopping board. You won't regret it.

Stillmonday · 11/04/2019 18:37

I've always had big wooden ones before and much prefer the look of them but the reason I'm changing is for hygiene reasons with a small baby

awesmum · 11/04/2019 19:03

Wooden one all the way - environmentally better.

Stillmonday · 11/04/2019 20:05

Just said I can't have a wooden one Confused

Angie169 · 11/04/2019 20:08

I agree with some PP, I prefer wooden ones. I have had the same one for about 6 years and have no intention of changing it.
It gets scrubbed with a stiff nail brush every time it gets used
Once a month or so scrubbed with course salt and lemon.
It also doubles as a pan stand so I don't damage the worktop. .
All that said if I had to pick one it would be number 2

Icedlatte · 11/04/2019 20:11

Op - aesthetically I prefer the first set

To those saying wooden are more hygeinic, are they? I always assumed they'd be less as any scratches into the wood would store water and bacteria, whereas plastic scratches are just more smooth solid plastic underneath. Am I wrong?
